that's good news for US, alright... and good news for Reading would be if they got Sidwell back in January.

I think we all should recognize by now what the effect is of a good center midfielder. Whether that is where he actually is listed, or not.
But That's not on topic, is it. Except if it helps Convey stretch his options.

Good to see Bobby rounding into form at last. He looked horrible in his last two matches for the USMNT.

Good points about Sidwell, 'fog, but Convey and the Royals have one big thing in their favor. IMHO they're playing for the 3rd best manager of young players in the Prem. [If you insist: 1 is Arsene Wenger and 2 is Martin O'Neil].

    Re: RE: Bobby Convey

And I agree. Arsenal's long term performance and Villa's recent success show the merits.
Coppel of course is at the distinct disadvantage but his team's rankings at the end of last year were no accident. Reckon he NEEDS the 1 or 2 key players to get back in the fray.

Lawrie {Fulham content} is not too far behind as long as he maintains his vision.

according to the writeup, only a great save from Liddypuddle's goalie kept Bobby from having two. He was subbed out after 80 minutes, but a good match by all accounts.

In other news, Man City's Samaras found a team other than Fulham that he can score on -- it was Norwich City.

And Luton scored twice in extra time to get Charlton's hide and move on to the 4th round. Up the Town! [quite likely, the Hatters only dancing banana this year]

I listened to the 2nd half and Coppell made a triple substitution. There was thunderous applause for Convey when he went off. I know that he had at least a couple other shots on goal besides the one that was saved. I suspect he'll start at Right Wing on Saturday.

Watched the Reading game. Convey played the entire 90 minutes in a heartbreaking loss at Man City. He assisted on the goal and had a decent game, overall.

good to see him back in the lineup. did he take Hunt's place and play on the left? or was he on the right? IMO, we need Convey to get back into form cuz I think he's an important part of our 2010 process.

It looked like Convey was on the left with Hunt on the right, though they did switch around quite a bit.

Bobby got the assist on Reading's goal and had a couple of good shots himself. Hunt, on the other hand, continues to cement his reputation as a thug by "tackling" an opponent with one set of cleats on his ankle and the other at the top of his thigh. I have no idea how the Citeh player escaped without a broken leg or how Hunt escaped without a red card.
