Toronto Argonauts are THINKING about moving from Rogers to BMO field.

Fans are going nuts and some of them are amazingly ignorant.

Like it wont be a 'classic' grounds because of the stands increased distance from the pitch. (CFL fields are bigger than NFL)

And another guy points out that a lot of stadiums in Europe still have running tracks.

Great. Another MLS pitch with a freaking grid iron.

Keep them on their own fields. Soccer-specific, soccer-ONLY stadiums is what we want, it's what we need.

    Just curious here.

I agree about keeping pointy football off of soccer pitches, but would you also exclude field hockey and Lacrosse?

I think the biggest problem for fans is the gridiron lines/numbers that screw up the aesthetics. FH/LAX don't require them(or very few of them), so the only objection might be the field getting chewed up.

I'd rather have a stadium built for soccer with gridline ghosts on it than losing money because the club income wasnt high enough to support it.

That's why most Crew fans now only bitch about the groundskeeping not the lines themselves.
The guys have learned to minimize the effect both from the lines and the bench players who will chew the turf worse.

PS the worst damage EVER to Crew Stadium turf was from a rock concert stage.

NOW lets talk about X Games and Home Depot Center.
