Although I'm on vacation, I'm not sure if I'll be here while the match is going on.

Having said that, I haven't seen anything on the Offal promoting the match, nor do I know if it'll be on Fulham TV. Does GJ usually broadcast these matches? Will there be a presence in the chatroom?

Don... I'll stop by and get the latest updates on the match if anyone listening to it on the Radio or has a live feed would care to update the masses.

3:00 PM EST... I'll catch up with you guys then.

At least I'll be able to follow along with Gamecast from ESPN. That'd be better than nothing.

CT; I liked your analogy of the NCAA tourney in comparison for the League Cup. Every year you see a 14th/15th seed give the big boys
all they want. Hopefully the boys won't let the hosts get their teeth into the
match. I predict a taming of the Shrew..sbury 3-1 w/a rare Collins John tally (maybe even a brace) leading the way.

Suppose I'll be here in the chat this afternoon; not like I'll get any coverage anywhere else!

    Line-ups?

    Mine:

    ---------------------------------- Keller --------------------------------

    ---- Volz -------- Pearce -------- Leijer/Zakuani ------ Rosenior ---

    ---- Dempsey --------- Timlin ---------- Diop ----------- Milsom ----

    -------------------- Kamara ---------------- John ----------------------

    Bench:
    Warner
    Baird
    Leijer/Zakuani
    Elliot
    Elrich

    Final: Shrewsbury 1 - 3 Fulham

Dunno. These first matches are hard to predict, line-up and score.

Is Elliorich walking again? I'd like to see some of the scrubs get some minutes tonight. I figure that this lineup should be enough:

    ---------------------------Keller-------------------------
    ---Omozusi------Pearce-----Leijer------Rosenior--
    -----Dempsey------Volz-------Diop-------Timlin----
    -----------------Kamara---------John----------------

    Bench:
    Warner
    Bocanegra
    Davis
    Healy
    James/Milsom

Ooh, looks like we are lining up to win. That would be a pleasant change in approach.

1-0...Kamara. With all the shots we had, a little disappointed we didn't put more on target and come out with a bigger win. Still, a win is a win no matter how you look at it so I'll take it.

and I got back just when it was over. Based on the lineup, LS is taking this competition seriously. Nice to see Kamara score. On to round 3!

Sounds like an Arsenal-esque performance on our part, 25 shots and one goal.

but a clean sheet for the Bocanegra/Pearce pairing!

    Also, I'm lolling @ sunderland.

Very good to get a win regardless of the opponent.

Biggest positive taken from this match, for me, is a clean sheet. Shrews threw some good pressure at Fulham and they bent, but didn't break. Well done Fulham. Now onto Spurs and (hopefully) gaining three more points.
