Beas is back to full training with Rangers and he is slated to be available for all of the upcoming USMNT fixtures...by the way, watching the ESPN promo for the England, Spain and Argentina matches got me pumped. Damn, I love international footie.

could have sworn that I saw Beasley mentioned as possible for Rangers next match. Amazing. Hope he's back to full speed. The way Donovan and Deuce are playing, all we need is some left side speed and we can ruffle some feathers this summer.

Strange thing about the Beas, he can be a real distraction sometimes, but his pace and skill, and most importantly his threat of possibly imposing either or both, make him a key component of the USMNT, most matches.

Rankers v. FC Zenit Leningrad, May 14th

Tough call on who to pull for here. Do I set aside the my dislike for anything associated with the Scottish version of the blue poo, and pull for a Scottish club, no matter how disgustingly revolting many of their fans are??

    Naaaah.

PCB, interesting your thoughts on "blue poo." My neighbor is from galsgow and a great guy, huge Rangers fan. I'll be pulling for the Rangers in this one.

To be fair I've read elsewhere that some of the Zenit fans are just as vitriolic as the Gers fans, if not worse (didn't think that was possible, to be honest). Having said that, a Rangers win would be good for Scottish football, at least in terms of accolades and trophies won.

    P.S. 67 > 08, just thought I'd sneak that in there

by the way, DMB was on the bench for today's SPL match. They didn't need him, but the fact that he was suited up is good news.

After suffering through the replay of that pathetic display vs Zenit (O'Sullivan was mentioning that they were far better than they were v Fiorentina, which doesn't seem possible), it's seems that the Beas could certainly have helped.

They had nothing on the left wing of substance. Beasley would have helped spread the defense, and Rangers would have lost with a bit more flair. Zenit are GOOD!

DMB scored Rangers' second in their Scottish FA Cup 3-2 victory. I guess the lad is back. Probably not a good idea to play him more than 45 minutes after today's match, but it's good to see him playing again.

    Happy 26th Beas!

Thanks Barry, I enjoyed the reading. Now I know that the guy we saw with McBride or whoever is injured on the MNT is James Hashimoto - I love him. He obviously knows what he is doing because he got the mighty Beas back before he was due.

thanks for posting, BarryP. Also, for those who didn't get a chance to see Gooch's goal in the UC, follow Barry's link past the Beasley blurb and you'll find the video.
