McBride Gone in January Window

Hey FFCinPCB you should understand on this site that if your spelling, semi-colon or fullstop is not in the right place they jump all over your A$$. everyone knows what you meant but they like to tell you otherwise.

 

The title was a way capturing some attention, not a claim of being omniscient. But yes, it is just my opinion and speculation based on the off-season conduct of Lawrie and Club.

I am as big a McBride fan as any of you. Rode an elevator with him and shook his hand. I hope nothing but what he wants to and knows he can get. That said, he strikes me as someone who also knows his limitations and understands the power of good-will gestures to those who have helped him shape a very successful career.

 

When I read this late night yesterday I held back responding because I couldn't wait to see "the levee break this morning". Arguably the most provocative thread I've read since joining. So well done FFCinPCB. And so we're just throwing things out there, I hope the MLS finally gets the Philly deal done and McHead is the first signing. I know, I know, but I can dream can't I. You don't understand how bad it kills me to pull for a team from New York.

I'm actually in the process of moving back to the Illadell. And even though I've had season tickets for almost 15 years I haven't been to a game since the 04 Championship game against that scum bag Vick. Yeah, I'm about to run through a wall with excitement for the home opener against the Skins on Monday night.

 

Sorry for jumping on you like that FFCinPCB, it's just that your thread title sorta scared me! It looked like an announcement rather than speculation.

 

"Provocative" is my middle name. (Silly English smile a la Austin Powers.)

 

Mac is the standard to which all other US footballers should aspire. A total class act who plays for his team rather than himself. I agree he's probably got 1 year left, maybe 2 if we're lucky. It just tickles me to death that a Yank will be one of the legends at an English football club!

 

We've got four forwards at the moment. I feel Healy will be a flop, Kamara will be a success, and John will be John(so-so but so very frustrating). Based on the Pompey match McBride looked like he was in very good shape; He played well with Kamara and I betting its that pairing vs the Arse in two weeks.

If he were to go we'd need to bring someone else in obviously. Beyond that McBride won't want to go in January, I'm betting Fulham will be needing him just as much as ever in January, and MLS will have no reason to pay a fee for him in January.

I feel bold and optimistic tonight so just for the hell of it, heres how many goals they'll all score this season...
