IMO, EJ is useless at the International level. He has the talent, but lacks the heart.

Our starting Midfield/Forward line at the WC should be:

    --------Altidore-----------
    -------Dempsey----------
    Beasley----------Donovan
    ----Bradley--Feilhaber----

totally agree!!!! I like Donovan out on the right flank cuz he showed in the Gold Cup that he can take the ball from out wide and make some great runs into the middle. With a good right back that can overlap, and Jozy or Clint breaking into a channel that gives Donovan some great options to do what he does best...make plays.

I also agree with Don 100%. Heath Pearce is our best option at Left Back and playing in the BL will toughen him up. I don't know about the CB's but if I were to add in the wingbacks I would say Pearce and Cherundolo. Bornstein has to defend better....if he does he'll be in the mix w/ Pearce.

Convey is a better player then Beasley. This could be a big year for him if he gets healthy.

While I'm a Reading fan, at the moment, I have to rank Beasley higher than Convey. Convey hasn't really played in 2 seasons and, unlike Bease, Convey hasn't proven himself at the EPL level. I would certainly have Convey on the team (him and Clark, for sure), but Beasley is the "hot" player right now.

So, the U.S. is headed south of the border in September for a friendly in the Estadio de Azteca. Great news. This and the other Euro friendlies are a step in the right direction for the USMNT development. Truly hostile environments, like the Azteca, can only serve to improve the club's character and give it the much needed stiff upper lip test prior to the WC qualifiers.

I'm going to have SO much fun with my Mexican friends if the USMNT wins, or even ties, playing them in Azteca.
