Haha, thought the title was a bit clever.

As many of you can tell from the my user name and from discussion I have supported the Reds for quite some time. Through the good and bad, thick and thin whatever analogy you care to use. Some say that is quite easy to do with a side thats had as much success as Liverpool, but I still maintain that it was rough at times.

Getting to the meaning of this thread...I would like to come out and say for the first time that I am completely and utterly a Fulham supporter. Shocking, I know. I've fell head over heals for the club, players and the supporters are top draw. It was fantastic not to be hassled by proving my devotion on this forum or what not as has been the case with the other club I have supported (LFC). I still hold a special fondness of Liverpool in my heart, but can't seem to break the spell that Fulham has on me. Maybe you are right FFCinPCB...the shirt has taken me over.

Thanks to all for the conversations of football, politics and life. Can't exactly change the name, but hopefully you guys will know where I stand who I support.

    Cheers

You can't change your name, but I can.

So what will it be? Fulham's#1, FFC4life4ever4evermore, or maybe the more traditional HammersmithendtilIdie?!

    Welcome mate.

Thank you kindly for the welcome. Great bunch as I stated earlier...I will have to mull over some names then.

So as many have said before me and as I'm sure to shout with all I have..."Come On You Whites"

Right on TOC!! That is great news! This is not the first time and it won't be the last time someone has changed allegiances to Fulham!! It is a pleasure having you on board with the rest of us.

Wait a minute...you mean Fulham have actually plucked someone away from Liverpool instead of the reverse? :)

    Welcome to the fold!

Good to have you on the bright side of the Force. You have made your first step into a larger universe.

No US footie fan will ever understand why you did it, but everyone on this site will. Welcome aboard!

A Fulham convert. I expect you'll get some serious stick from those who know you what club you previously supported, its a brave move and I congratulate you for it.

    Just be prepared for.....

-a minimum of 25% of games NOT on TV
    -lots and lots of losses
    - waking up sweating in the middle of the night after having another bad dream about Zat Knight starting
    -relegation battle
-moments of real and actual hopelessness and moments of absolute joy and amazement

Its all part of the deal. Fans of the big four can talk all they want and do what they do but I figure its takes someone who's internally secure or just quirky or something! to be a Fulham supporter. I wouldn't trade it for any other club that is for sure.

    Simple, easy, zen...I like it.

Thanks to all for the kind words. I know I have bombarded the boards from time to time, but still you all put up with my shananigans.

Ha, I remember the day I realized Spencer really had the Fulham bug...

...when the new home kits came out and he got all excited about the new season. Spencer knew it had nothing to do with the quality of our squad but it gave him a new positive outlook....makes no sense at all!

So Spence...was there another club you supported before finding Fulham?

Based off Mike's comment it is the little things in life that can change your perspective or outlook on a situtation. Those shirts seem to be laced with something, because as soon as I bought mine I didn't want to take it off. Great feeling and I got even more excited about the coming season.

I spent alot of time with Spencer during his trip to London and I'd say he saw what Fulham football is really about and got the 'real' experience of following a team.

I'll have to catch up with Spencer when he gets back from the US v. Mexico final. Your continued encouragement of Fulham fans from across the pond and essentially being a tour guide for many is much appreciated. As Don said earlier you have been dubbed the "Godfather".

So my question was are you the Godfather in the sense of Don Corleone or are you a Luke Wilson type Godfather in "Old School"?
