FIFA Club World Cup 2007

It's never too early to admit your ignorance. In my case it would be that the only club I know for sure that will be participating in this is....Milan.

 

It is a complete waste of time and the sooner they scrap it the better - who needs a meaningless competition at the end of season where players can get injured?

In fact - I am going to go further and say that the UEFA cup and entry for teams that did not win their league playing in the Champions league is a waste of time also. Too many games are played by the top teams in all competitions - it is detrimental to national teams, players and cheapens the competitions as a whole - how can you have a competition where the 8th best EPL team gets in to an eliet tournament - its a joke. Man U should represent the EPL in the champions league and Chelsea in the UEFA (or cup winners) cup and everyone else should earn the right to play in them. And national teams from Wales that play in the English leagues should be banned from entering via the Welsh Cup!!!

GBF speaks words (actually types) once again. The Champions League is diluted by the shear number of clubs allowed into the tournament. It should be the "Champion" from each league so it will truly be a tournament of Champions. Second place, Chelsea in this case, to the UEFA Cup. Couldn't agree more GBF.
