FFC should perhaps look at some of the Estonian players. England, playing well, needed two incredible passes and a great individual effort to score on them. Part of it was that they were well coached, but individually, while not at the level of England, they weren't bad and played in a disciplined, controlled manner. I'd look for a winger (perhaps the one that almost scored at the end) and a CB from there, at the very least to add depth to the squad. We could certainly afford them.

Harewood was part of the cancer at West Ham. Fulham doesn't need that crap.

Al Fayed... if he brings in Mido, might be splashing some more quid around because they guy is Egyptian and a self-centered bastard.

I'm not really whole heartedly behind signing Mido, because I doubt he fits with guys like McBride and Jimmy Bullard or anybody from Northern Ireland.

Harewood is a confidence player. When he's high on confidence he scores loads of goals (two seasons ago), but when he's low on confidence, he can't hit the broad side of a barn.

I'd like to have Mido...Lawrie can sort him out.

Not the best news I've ever heard, but looks like Franck could be on his way out: http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hli ... VER+FUTURE

Mikey, seems to me that last summer and last January, it was about this deep into the transfer process when you came out with some inside stuff.

Anything you can give us a hint about?

About 3U, I think last year was his worst in the last three. He may be on his way down, but I'd hate to see him go since he's the only guy on the squad who uses his left foot for anything but standing on.

The only thing that I didn't like about Q was.............. actually there wasn't much of anything. The odd mistake perhaps, but otherwise I think he was beneficial and had a pretty strong free-kick.

If he goes, I consider that a loss.

So great, another position to fill. 2 CB's and an LB need to be addressed before any other positions, including LW and RW, and a Striker.

Or we could play with what we have. Based on that, and the possibility of Q leaving, what is our starting line-up?

I believe the colloquialism is "he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo".

Who is Q rumoured to be going to? IMO, he is a fairly good player and is a solid free kick taker.

Hope Fat Frank leaves...can't much stand him. OVERRATED

Not sure if Mido can be sorted out. He seems set in his ways and he is a head case. Just can't put the club or team before himself.

My only issue with Queudrue is that in the last few seasons he has gotten noticably slower on the field. For someone like him who likes to get up into the attack from his left back role, he seems to be lacking in the speed needed to get back after he pushes forward which in turn gets him out of position from time to time.

I still think it would be a mistake to let him go though. He is a leader and a good guy to have in the squad for not only his skills but his experience as well.

There are a fair share of young players in the side and Q's experience is vital in that matter. He might not be the best available that Fulham could have, but he does play his position fairly well and can be dangerous when getting forward.

I've noticed him slowing a bit as well...

I'm with PCB. Starting to get a little nervous. Too many players leaving with too many spots to fill as it was. As Don keeps pointing out, hundreds of posts and not one signing. Come on Lawrie! As Elvis said: A little less talk, a little more action.

tom i was going to say the same thing about Que....his pace isn't as good as i would like for a left back...but other then that I love the guy! i especially love how instead of lambasting Sanchez for using a style that's not his preference like a lot of people would, he said "it's not for him." if he does go elsewhere i wish him well

this Cook guy must be the real deal if all those clubs are going after him as reported. Unfortunately that probably means we have little possibility of landing him as someone (most likely Pompey) will offer more for him. that left side is looking awefully bleak w/ no left mid and no Que were he to leave

People at the FCC website are even dropping Beasley's name around now. Not sure he fits long ball tactics though.

I hate long ball play and hope LS doesn't resort to those tactics, but I fear he will. It is a poor way to play the game and lacks imagination.

Beasley would fit into the side well IMO, but Cook at this time would appear to be the top choice for LS.

    TFI info:

Expect 2 players to leave shortly Christanval and Quedrue though LS wants Christanval to stay,LS and Frank not seeing eye to eye!
We have made approaches to 3 players and are waiting to here,LS has been told if he wants a player he can pretty much have him as long as the board don't feel we are being ripped off. MAF wants a big name signing to excite everyone and show our intentions,LS and Reid are abroad at the moment apparently in discussions with agents.

Can't be more specific at the moment but have been promised more on Monday.

Agreed. I remember leaning that form of soccer under a different name - "kickball". I used to get so frustrated with my hs team for playing kickball, but would be releaved to be back with my spring club and passing and making runs.

The problem with playing the long ball game is that you are mainly just praying for the defender to make a mistake. That's not a good system to base your season off of.

I believe it's just a dumb excuse from the players. What do they think they were playing under Coleman all last season!? I'd hate to break it to them but it WAS loooooooooong ball.

Sanchez' game he is calling 'direct'. Which may or may not be long ball.
