...another season in the premiership COYW!!! PS: Now let's see Wigan win and man ure put 7 past the spammers... .
so, LBno11, will you still be supporting Fulham even though they DIDN'T get relegated and they still have some [one or two] English players? 8)
   :3d laughing: :3d funny: :eye popping: :3d tongue: :3d footy: and finally, again
  I watched Charlton sink today. It was sad having to pull for Tottenham. I Wish it was Crapfield United in their place. Maybe next year.
...LBNo11, the glory hunter... ...LutonDon, after 40 years of supporting Fulham with most nationalities playing for them it would be daft not to - there again I have always supported the team, not the player. Mind you in 1977 when they sold Les Barrett to Millwall... :big grin:
well, what about the rampantly unfair treatment given Eddie Lewis... all over some cub reporter's snarky remark! Where were you then? A travesty, I tell you! 8)
...a fair comment PF... The truth is I was too busy in hysterics laughing at his epithet - USA's David Beckham, however, to be fair this was from the same club spin doctors who said we would become the Manchester United of the South. One day will Man U want to become the Fulham of the North?
Re: ...a fair comment PF... Actually, Eddie Lewis has a better LEFT foot than Beckham. Speaking of which, since Dora Dumbass [the English national team leader] has decided to ignore how well he's playing, it appears that Beckham himself may be USA's David Beckham! And how did you feel when Fulham sent MacDonald to Luton? Or am I showing my age?
...Big Mac - you want fries with that..? ...actually David Beckham in my opinion is 70% hype, he is not fit to lace Johnny Haynes' boots, with which he could perform better magic in both feet. That said, Eddie Lewis may have a better left foot, but in the top flight of football which he never experienced, he was not subjected to that same pressure as Beckham against top class defenders. Malcolm McDonald, well I remember him making the switch from Cottager to Hatter, but he was a local Fulham supporting lad, who came good, returned us to a proud team that was sold down the river by that chairman. Anyway, how did you feel when Alec Stock (and Viv Busby) came to Fulham and took them to the FAC final in '75 - or am I showing MY age..
RE: ...Big Mac - you want fries with that..? Whoa, talk about a thread hijack! Now it is a discussion/comparison of Beckham and Eddie Lewis. Slow news day, eh?
RE: ...Big Mac - you want fries with that..? beckham as overhyped, i'll entertain that argument. but, i had the opportunity to catch a few real madrid matches lately and becks' dead ball chances are still a thing of beauty. his passion has never been a question. second choice steve sure made a great choice in dropping him from the national team - the offense looks spectacular lately.

I left about a month before the Hatters signed him and I got back just after they sold him to ToonTown. I thought Alec Stock was a good manager and I would never say anything negative about him. I was pleased to see him successful. As for Busby, he was a talented but excessively lazy git. The Brits who stood around me on the Maple Road terraces used to egg me on when I'd get on his back. Credit to the bloke though, he never made a rude gesture to me. PCB! Are you accusing LBno11 of hijacking his own thread?
