I would have assumed 'video' were inferred, in context of any goal that keeps us up....
but I forgot. some people have to get a map drawn.

Without your comparison to something Crew related, I was unsure.

I was a wreck throughout that. Thank god its over.

What a time for Dempsey to come through! Not a spectacular performance but was generally good throughout, no weak links. Good job boys.

    Now I need a nap.

In a previous thread, for an earlier game, I put forward a team, and left Dempsey out. I cannot remember who, but someone came back with "he's a big match player and has the mental toughness required to do the job". I am sure you know who you are - and as such I just wanted to say "You were right".

Congratulation LS - better than I expected and all that I hoped. COYW.

I presume that he'll get a start for the Boro match as a reward for this...

I was out roofing all day and just logged in to see the results, what a gift for me. wish I had seen it but I am extactic with the finnish. Finally clint dempsy pays off. He better get a start next week. I don't think we are clear yet. I am sure charlton will give it there all monday and then there will be something left for us to do at middlesborough. I have a question though. If we do stay up and even get a win next week, do we want LS to remain as manager? I honestly feel Liverpool gave us a gift with the resting of so many players. I don't know that we would have beaten a full strength team. Never the less thrilled they won, COYW's next week lets win two in a row and finnish the season on a high.

I followed the match on ESPN Gamecast and when Dempsey scored that goal I was thinking Lawrie Sanchez is the man. Do I smeel a contract???

Dempsey brings the creativity the we lack in the midfield. And when Bullard comes back next year, we're going to be amazing. What's the word on Jensen? Did he pick up a mean injury?

Great result for the lads and a fantastic day for Dempsey. I was afraid he was going to suffer the same fate as Eddie Lewis -- signed by a coach who is let go a short time later, then ignored by the new head man and relegated to the reserves. Dempsey's making his own future with performances like today's. What a time to score his first Premiership goal!

    WHEW!

A great day -- nice to meet up with new people and have a good get-together (hey, there were actually more than two people who met up!), a gorgeous day, and THREE POINTS!!

Oh, and my prediction about getting blotto was incorrect.

Now, my stomach lining and fingernails can start growing back.

    My sentiments exactly, PHEW!

What a match that was and I knew from the beginning this would be a nail biter but the atmosphere of the Cottage was second to none. At one point, when Liam was waiting for an injured liverpool player to leave the field, he went over to Johnny Haynes stand and started to get the crowd going. This then spread over to Hammersmith and Liam kept clutching the badge. Brought a tear to the eye!!

Now I'm not a biased to any of our Americans. For me, if Fulham wins that is the most important but yesterday, there was no one I wanted to score more than Clint Dempsey. Very proud of our players and our fans...Up the Fulham.

DEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUCCCCCCE!!!! Way to go son! I'm so proud of our boy. I was working all day Saturday so I couldn't listen to Gentleman Jim's commentary but when I checked the score, I nearly scared my wife with my school girl squeal of delight at the scoreline.

Whoever is managing Fulham next year would be wise to start Deuce. The guy plays with heart and soul.

    MOTM vs. L'Pool??

My man of the match is Niemi. He made those early key saves against Bellamy which could've spelled disaster if he had scored one.

    Superhero for me.
