He strikes again. Watch this video as he breaks Shea Salinas' collarbone http://www.mlssoccer.com/video/2012/04/14/replay-salinas-takes-boot-marquez
http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/mls/st ... f-carlisle Anytime one of my El Tri rooting friends mention his name I go off, and they tell me to let go of the 02' WC, but a tiger doesn't change his stripes, and Marquez will always be a cheap shot artist. How is this guy making 4.6 million a year?? A couple of troubling issues from this article besides his salary; How come there are no quotes from him? How come the manager and GM of NY come across as nothing more than enablers? As for the incident itself WTH is the ref doing? Salinas (who comes across as having total class) said Marquez was doing the same thing on the 2 previous corners, and the idiotic ref was aware, but didn't have the cojones to talk to him?
MLS suspended him only 3 days. What a joke. Salinas showed up for a game that day. He was just trying to do his job, and because of this overpaid thug, he will be out 6 -8 weeks.
The ref for that match was a joke - and MLS front office is a farce as well. 'Can't suspend a DP for very long, especially if he plays for NY, and especially if he puts butts in the seats.' Not to be an ass, but I hope somebody from the Quakes kicks the shit out of him next time they face each other. Ya gotta stand up for your club. ...and I don't like him. At all.
