3/6 i don't know if anyone listens to howard stern but mohamed al fayed is on right now 7:45am EST it would be on replay all day as well. mostly he is ranting about the death of his son. but I have never heard him speak, he must not be very popular in england he is saying alot of bad things about the royal family. Maybe that is why fulham can't get a good call from a ref on the field.

Thanks for the heads up, I have been following his comments about the royal family. I agree with him, I think they had a big problem with Diana marrying Dodi and wanted them killed.

Great interview, mr al fayed had a good sense of humor with howard stern. No mention of Fulham.

he was quite funny. What do people in england really think of him? Does he say that sort of thing publicly over there? Is it unpatriotic to bash the royal family like that or do people over there not care that much? Does his stance on the royals affect peoples attidute towards Fulham?

He is an Egyptian who has constantly been denied British citizenship, so he is not unpatriotic. He is also a tax exile so he lives outside of the UK more than in it.

There are already a fair few republicans in the UK (that's anti-monarchists, rather than US politics). As for public perception, some see him as a nut job, some as an angry father who has lost a child and some as a truth seeker, but most, I think, just see him as a little bit eccentric.

With regard to our inbred Greek/German tragedies - Many would also argue, me included, that the royal family do themselves no credit and really do not need chairman Mo to destroy them as they are doing nicely by themselves.
