Hello from Utah

Just thought I would stop in and say hi. This is the first year that I have started following EPL. I have always enjoyed watching soccer but never really had a team to root for. Then I read an article by ESPN's Bill Simmons called "Choosing my EPL Team", and it got me interested in choosing a team and following them. I decided on Fulham FC for a couple reasons. The first was that I was looking for a good team but I didn't want to jump on the bandwagon and pick one of the top clubs. It wouldn't be any fun watching a team win, if I have not sufferred a little. I know that sounds a little wierd but your not a fan until you have gone through the hard times and stayed with your team. The second reason I picked FFC was because I saw some americans on the roster. And it will be nice to watch americans succeed in the top leagues. This seems like a great place to talk soccer and support my new team. I am trying to learn all I can about the club so I think this is a great site and I am glad to be a part of it.

 

Welcome rsl! The reasons you chose Fulham are very similar to many others on FulhamUSA. Fulham is a great club and you will see you made a good choice. There are many ups and downs supporting them, but all in all, it is a great club! If you have any questions about Fulham, feel free to ask.

My sentiments exactly. I also chose Fulham because they are in London, in the event I happen to go to England and watch a game. Also there stadium is relatively small and old kind of like Wrigley Field. Also they sing “Whites go marching in” and I’m a Saints fan we sing “Saints go marching in”.

 

what up dude...what part of utah are you from? i live in Holladay. you picked a good team to follow. the americans on the team are well loved by the supporters, and are a large reason a lot of people on this site have chosen Fulham. you will however grow to love most of the other players as well. looking forward to your posts.

 

what's up omsdogg, glad to see someone else here from Utah. I live in Salt Lake City. Do you know of any bars here that show the EPL?

I've never been to either to watch because I have both FSC and Setanta. You can probably call and find out or you can come over anytime and watch at my place.
