After more than 6 years of being told that criticism of the president or the administration is tantamount to treason ...

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070203/pl_ ... crats_dc_6

This is the first Saturday in February. Earlier this week, for at least the 100th time, this administration's press secretary reiterated that criticism of the administration's conduct of the war would result in American casualties and would benefit the terrorists.

After trying to stifle free speech for so long, what a sad, sick joke this is!

And you gotta helluva nerve coming on here with that bullshit after what that cretinous MF Kerry has been doing and saying the last few weeks..

But that is REALLY what's behind your rant isnt it?

You KNOW what your glorious party leaders have been doing and you KNOW in another time they WOULD be at least CALLEd traitors to their country for what they do abroad.

    So you redirect.

When administration officials say that free discourse in the Congress is giving aid and comfort to the enemy, they're calling people who disagree with them traitors. That's one of the legal definitions of treason, you idiot! Calling elected officials traitors is a PRIMARY method of stifling free speech.

I must have been sleeping when the political party you claim I own committed treasonous acts. Could you tell me please what they were? And did they have anything to do with criticizing the administration and it's leader?

Gentleman, gentleman; I realize that when it comes to politics anytime you can be the acupuncturist and stick the needle to the other guy it can be fun, but stand back for a second...wouldn't you guys agree that arguing over the virtuousness of either party is like arguing about who the nicer fox in the hen house is, a greyfox or a redfox??

    You dont understand, Joe...

On this and the "Anything Goes' forum we are free to take off the gloves and get in the ring... sometimes the brass knuckles even come out.

Don and I resolved this a long time ago. Any of his loony De-Nile-ist ideas are fair game and he's allowed to spout invective against my right wing-nut postings, never mind they're based on fact rather than liberal spin.

As a point of reference, here's where I start if I have time for very little catching up on the news.. Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit Scan down his postings, typically compilations of links to other blogs, and you find some surprisingly middle of the road stuff, though he's basically conservative...
    Stuff like this
Unfortunately I dont know where Don gets his news, but have a good idea where he gets his views... I think it centers around Comedy Central.

Actually I think Don is just trying to get around some of the political mythification he picked up when he was young and dumb...

Like the the story behind this rant in the first place:

Bush spoke at a Democratic meeting. Big freakin' mistake.... almost as bad as when he would try to converse with the NAACP, and show he was willing to take their abuse in person.

And EVERY time he tries to 'make nice' with Dems what you see is something on the nature of Don's take on it.
And it strangely coincides with something like Kerry AND usually Kerry going to visit our adversaries and telling them that all the world's problems are OUR FAULT!

And you can go all the way back to his working with Ted "If you're out of Chivas, then Smirnoff straight up" Kennedy on 'No Child Left Behind' education bill.

All was great until the great Statesman found out there wouldnt be any Fed fund giveaways to help the Dems buy more votes with the NEA.

By the way.... what do you think of the clerical invocation at this Good Patriotic American Democratic meeting?

Nope... no useful idiots involved in setting THAT up!

Boy....I thought my blood-up would subside, I guess not.

Note the link I posted above... see the 08 presidential straw poll?

results of voting on Pajamas Media

Now MyDD and DemUnderground call Pajamas Right WingNut... but look at who is leading, guess who anyone REALLY concerned with the state of the nation would vote for, and guess which ones I voted for!
    {just realized, your page view might be different than what I see... I voted for Giuliani'Rep and Richardson'Dem}

Now, if I were as loony as Don....

Petty, one of the great joys of the Golden Lying Forum is watching you debate yourself. If there's 12 posts on one of these threads, 7 of them are going to be yours -- sometimes back-to-back-to-back. You're more prolific than Bill Belicheck, pard!

And, you're right -- several posts up -- I get all my Reuters News Service articles from Comedy Central. Busted again.

Hmm... I note there's no more ranting about Dubya instilling fear in the masses by restricting 'speech' and 'taking away civil rights' and there is no comment about THIS:

By, of course, following the path of jihad!
