Kerry takes up 'Extra Innings' issue

Unfortunately, though, Kerry still manages to miss the target. This should have nothing to do with the FCC. An entertainment entity should have the right to add or restrict their outlets as their marketing model prescribes.

Since Congress granted baseball monopoly status, way back when, it should fall under commerce.
Revoking the antitrust exemption... which arguably should never have been granted, but is certainly outdated now.. or the threat of revocation, would be the appropriate method to apply pressure.

Especially for a keen political mind. Of course Kerry is not an especially keen political mind.... unless, of course, he is only using this as a stalking horse for future regulation of sports and entertainment outlets.

So I guess we are left with the self-answered question: John Kerry is either a schemer or a twit. "Move along folks, Nothing new here..."
