In any case, three points/questions..... * McBride truly is a force right now. I'm sure this has been said, but I have been very surprised this year how much impact he has on a game. Sometimes doesn't hold it up too well and he has no quickness at all it seems, but he has certainly been impressive. Am I nuts? * Sticking with McBride, surprised he was withdrawn so early yesterday when they needed goals. Any reason why he specifically was pulled? Obviously worked out well, but still a little strange given his earlier goal and recent form. * Bocanegra. That's now two of those amateur-ish mishaps in central defense in recent weeks. I'm really pulling for him, but those are unacceptable. Even beyond that, this team gives up a lot of goals. Curious about any thoughts on his future in the lineup (when injuries come back or through new signings) and if anyone knows the status of his contract. Thanks for the thoughts. SB
Hi steveb [your last name wouldn't be "Canyon" would it; never mind, 'fog will know] and welcome. Glad you found us. IMHO [and I'm so reticent to offer it], BMB was pulled yesterday because of the big match on Saturday. Also, I love Boca, but -- like Christanval -- he plays better w/Zat or Pearcey. I don't think they have a feel for each other's tendencies and it's been a disaster.
