I'm biased in that my wife is a big NE fan, but they won the game today; the Chargers did not lose it. The Pats have been through so many of these pressure situation that they make their own breaks. Kudos to the D which held despite the Chargers consistently great field position to start their drives.

Shott's a good coach, and the Chargers will be back. They just ran into a team that knew how to win.

    NE or Indy next Sunday?

its a toss up for me, both teams are teams i admire for how they run things...having lived in the tampa area when Dungy was bringing the Bucs up for Gruden (aka soon to be fired) to take all the glory...and I like NE b/c they just seem to stay around as a all around good team....should be a fun one to watch!

I disagree with ya - DC. Yes, the Pats pulled it off, but the Chargers gave the game away....I missed the 1st half, but look at the dropped pass on 3rd down by Jackson to continue a drive, Parker muffing the kick, the head butt penalty to extend the drive for the Pats, after a great defensive stop, the interception and subsequent fumble for a first down.

I'm not trying to take anything away from the Pats, but I'm sick of all the hype surrounding them. I think the majority of the teams in the NFL would have beaten the Chargers today, if they had received the same breaks. You can't continue to make mistakes and expect to win....especially against a quality opponent...For King God Lord Bufu Brady the legend grows, but he should thank his lucky stars and the Chargers for extending his season.

Give me the Colts next weekend.

how do stop the best running back in the league...you dont,
he wont get the ball every down and wont get 10 yards everytime he touches the ball.
get them in third and long, make the QB pass,
make them punt and play for field posistion (exactly what they did early on)
of course it helps when your opponents go for a 4 and 11 with the
results being a fumble, should they have gone for a
field goal ( those 3 pts would have been a big factor in how the
Patriot's would have played the second half.)in my eye's,fisrt mistake from Marty Shothisbolt.
So.. they relize the error of there ways and give it to MrMVP;result 14-3.
did we panic (not a chance with Brady at the helm )
this bloke has got ice running through his veins (just like a Helgusson pen!)
    Result; 14-13 HT.
frustration got the better of the Chargers in the 2nd half. if you think you
should be kicking your opponents arse but cant put them away,
things like headbutts and fights start to creep in (i mean, whats the piont of headbutting someone with a helmet on, he aint going feel it?)
then theres the interception, should that have been the game (maybe) but not without a
heads up play from Troy Brown it isnt.
follow that up with some more Brady ice ( that pass down the sideline to Caldwell,
the ex charger, that must of hurt big time).
more kick's in the teeth to come; not only do we need to get a quick TD, we also need to get 2extra pts.
time for Bill 'Big Balls' Belichick to roll the dice, a direct snap to the FB ( if thats not kicking
someone in the teeth, i dont know what is!)
21-21, you just know what going to happen next 24-21. its over, Tomlinson get's out of his pram ( because he's young and hurting (sod all that crap about dancing on there logo),the fact is you cant do it all by yourself,
a fact Marty Shothisbolt should note, thats if he's in a job next year?)
But the image i will remember was Phillp 'three' Rivers, sitting on the sideline in the 2 minute warning.
i saw him shake his head and mouth the word's 'Unbelieavable'
not if your a Pat Fan, more 'Fulhamish' me thinks, or should that be 'Patish'.

the Colt's mite as well throw the towel in now. because Big Ball's and the Ice Man are coming your way!!

You nailed this one on the head, Brady has been the luckiest man on the planet since his days at UofM (where he wasn't even the best QB on the team,) and the Chargers definitely lost this game with mistakes. I take the Colts at home, and the Saints in Chicago.

P.S. You might want to add Messiah or Superhero to Brady's nickname too.
