Cowher, I think, will hang it up... been thinking about whether, and how, a win or loss in the Bengals game would affect and I think he's MORE likely to stay on if the Steelers lose.

Coughlin, on the other hand may quit to beat the pink slip. Whichever ... he's lost control of the ship and there's no stapling a new rudder on.

And Bill Ford has enough to worry about with FoMoCo's problems... surely he will opt to solve ONE problem that's relatively easy to fix.

Now... what's Al Davis going to do about his friend and former star?

    New Year's Bengal resolution

I will hope that Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis learns one day that depending on criminals doesn't pay.

As a Lion fan, I hope you're right about Millen but I would be shocked if the Lions fired him. He'd have to get caught with little boys to get fired.

The Fords run the team like they do the auto company--compentency is not a requirement. And unlike with the auto company, the Lions are in a protected business. In the world of the NFL with its guaranteed TV money and no chance of relagation, and with every Lion games sold out because Detroit fans love their teams, they have no incentive to fix things.
