    has passed on to the great beyond!

    James Brown, the "Hardest Working Man in Show Business" is finally at rest.

    I know that he was almost a parody of himself at times, but his music -- especially "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" -- pretty much got me through some rough times. He was an amazing singer, songwriter, and perhaps the best stage entertainer of the entire rock era.

    Gone at Christmas; God must have needed to tap his feet.

    A truly unique burst of entertainment, who probably outlived his supposed demise many times.

    God rest what has to be a tired soul, (before he throws off the cape and comes back for an encore).
