    Time for the new thread:

I'm glad that the Hammers beat Manure, since I think that'll take the piss and vinegar out of them and they'll be ripe for the taking. I thought young Spector and their goalie played extremely well in the match, but I'm not all that impressed with their attack and their midfield is as full of holes as is our own. So ...

    --- the Superhero Niemi ---

    Liam -- Knight -- Christanval -- 3U

    Routledge -- Brown -- Volzy -- Radz

    --- HH --- BMB

    Bench includes Boca, Runstrom

I like us 2-1. Brian and Routledge with the goals

    What say ye?

[note: thanks to FFCPCB who noted that I misspelled Brownie's name in the original post]

    Where's Browny?

If Jensen is healthy, substitute Brown for Volz in your line-up.

    Bench:
    Lastuvka
    Boca
    Volz
    Runstrom
    John

    Hard fought, 2-1 win.

I agree with the starting lineups....we don't have enough players healthy to change too much from last game. Besides that shaky start, things looked pretty good against Boro. I see Fulham winning (2-0).

I guess I missed it, but what happened to Jensen? Was it a day off before the hectic holiday schedule with minor knicks or was it an injury that could keep him out for a few games?

Anyway you look at it, we just need to get an early first goal and should be easy sailing from there. COYW!!!

This is the kind of game a mid-table team like us has to win. Fulham 2-1--probably like Boro, not pretty at times but good, solid, effective, and three points.

I agree with American Mike on what he's said about BMB and HH--they need to play together, and the team does better when they do. Let's home Cookie sees it that way too.

This is a tough one now. Bloody Alan Curbishly. The irons will have their tails up after a fantastic victory over Man U. I think we need to go at them hard - hopefully Christanval will continue in the centre of defence and Boca will join him.

Yep. We need to break the Hummer's and Curbyourdogishly's spirit early, and bring them crashing back down into the depression that no manager will save their sinking ship this season.

    Go for the kill!

Early morning game on Saturday, 7:40 AM on Setanta tomorrow!

Anyway, I agree that Fulham has to win this game. They're at home and they're at the cross-roads of this season. They lose and we spend the better part of the next four months talking about avoiding relegation/finishing 10th. We win, and we can keep up hope for moving up further or at least put these concerns to rest for awhile.

Hatter's got the line up I think Cookie should throw out there for the game. They were effective against MB and if they pounce quickly, I see no reason why it can't be effective against WH. I hope WH has the same problem Fulham had after the Arsenal and doesn't get up for the game, so to speak.

so now that i am stateside, its hard to find pubs that'll either air the games or even be open.

so which is a better idea: ordering the itvn receiver or simply registering for setanta broadband?

hows the quality etc with each?

    Chris Coleman and Fulham players,

Dec. 23 is my birthday...I'll be 28. Since I'm not a greedy person, a win against W.Ham with Superhero Niemi keeping a clean sheet would make a great present. If that's not possible, then I'll settle for a new Porsche.

    Regards,
    rumstove

Anyways, available players listed on the PremierLeague site:

Fulham (from): Niemi, Rosenior, Omozusi, Knight, Bocanegra, Christanval, Queudrue, Volz, Brown, Radzinski, McBride, Helguson, Routledge, Zakuani, Runstrom, Lastuvka, Batista.

I like HatterDon's lineup. But, due to my hopes of keeping a clean sheet, I'll go with a 2-0 prediction.

Why does cookie not like Wayne Routledge. I think he's a pacy, creative player that is always dangerous. Yet Cookie repeatedly returns him to the bench. It'd be great if we could keep him at the end of the season. Clever buy by Cookie, seen that Malbranque was going traded him for a replacement. GENIUS. And look what Steeeeed's doing for Spurs. Bupkiss.

Good match to follow on the Offal's match tracker. Good chat on the chatroom. Guess Rummy only gets half his birthday present. Perhaps, a picture of a Boxter?

We lacked midfield timming runs into the box, but every member of the midfield worked as hard as I've seen them all season. Special praise to HH for his workrate.

We never made enough crosses and the ones we did make lacked quality. With HH and BMc in the box we must get down the wings and attach. Spector was all at sea against Radz, but we did not overlap and did not give him a torrid enough time.

A little dig in the ribs of Bowyer would have seen him loose his rag and see red, although I thought Koncheski was unlucky to walk.

Liam had another good game also, I think we will get 6 out of 9 points over the rest of the Xmas period. Very happy given the injuries we are carrying.

It has only just occured to me (and I know that I can be a little slow) but we never used any subs. I wonder when the last time was a FFC side went unchanged for 90 minutes!!!

Draw suits me fine. Would have been nice to nick a goal but all and all I think it was a fair result.

1st post, hope I do not piss off too many fellow supporters of the bat.

All in all a fair result. I would like to have seen Routledge substituted at some point in the 2nd half, from where I was he look like he was gettting pushed around more than usual. His speed and creativity seemed to be negated by the physical play of the West Ham defenders most of the afternoon.

Hi FulhamYank & congratulations on your first post! Koncheski kept tight on Wayne all game, but then he would play for England if he didn't look like a psychopath at an unfashionalbe club. If you have sky it is worth watching a re-run.

Also, the movement around Wanye was not so good, Liam was a little static at times and the overlap was rare. Occasionally they got tanlged up when trying to be intracate. The rest of the midfield does not read his game quite so well, Bullard or Jensen know what he is going to do, but Volz (fantastic) has a lot to learn as a midfield dynamo!

whew, Superhero kept his half of the deal. I wish Fulham could have gotten the win and picked up two more points though.

I guess a picture of a Boxter will be good enough...but a 911 Turbo picture would be even better lol.
