A very, very, very exciting match so far. Boa absolutely lit up the Arsenal defense in the first half. Mad props on Van Persie's goal, too.

It is really hard following what is going on. The Sky summeriser for the game is former gooner Paul Merson. He is so funny, and not bias, but the recovering alcholoic gambler is in a world of his own. At one point he mispronounced papa's name and giggled to himself.

Antti has just made a save from Walcott and Merson told us about it by saying the keeper has just shoved the ball onto the beans on toast (I guess this is a new cockney rhyming slang expression for post!).

I have resorted to the clock watch commentry on the bbc web site.

Merson rate this as the best performance in a long time. He claims it could be 4 or 5. He also said that CC has put more energy into the evening than anyone else. He has not stopped moving and kicking things all evening.

    Well done boys. Cracking.

I predict 2-1 to the good, with McBride scoring an early goal.

Krikey! It's like I have ESP or something!

I have just finished my first viewing of the highlights. Here are my observations:

    1. From the first minute to the last we were in their face. We forced the tempo and played to a strength of ours - we are one of the fittest teams in the leaguge.

    2. Diop played better, he was still not great, but he worked hard and broke up play. His defensive duties was much better.

    3. Brown was awsome. He was in their face the whole game.

    4. Christanval was rock solid. Knight could concentrate on his game rather than on the other central defender. This in turn allowed Volz and Liam to worry about themselves rather than if they needed to make last ditch challenges. Amazing what a little pace at the back does.

    5. McBride worked hard, held up the ball well, distributed well and gave us an attacking platform.

    6. Radzinski was an ideal punchbag that got 3 players booked - they deserved it - I hope he is OK for the weekend.

    7. Finally, Boa was the best player on the pitch, he set up Radz goal, his free kick was magnificent and very unlucky. He skinned his defender consistantly all night. He worked back. When his free kick came back off the bar, it was taken from the right hand side of the 22 yard box. He broke up play from the Arsenal counter attack on the left wing, 10 yards in from the half way line.

So, to sum up, the midfield were magnificent, the defended and attacked as a unit. This took pressure off the back four and opened space up for the lone striker (not that you would know there was only one!)

They not only won on the scoreboard, they earned that win by outplaying Arsenal form beginning to end.

The boys on the telly called it the best fitba match they've seen this year. I can't help but agree. Brian was brilliant, Christanval was perfect, and Boa was THE MAN!!!!!!

but I agree with DCH, every man a hero [and one Superhero with a brilliant fingertip against Walcott].

Well deserved win; let's get some Rovers on Saturday!

For those new supporters of Fulham, this match was the definition of a FULHAMISH performance. It was fantastic as well!! My observations watching the match:

    1. All eleven players were committed and energetic tonight. All played with passion and it was clearly evident.

    2. Luis Boa Morte played like the Luis Boa Morte of old. The way he set up the second goal was pure class. In addition, he was all over the place on the field. If Fulham can get more performances like that from him we will be in great shape.

    3. McBride won at least 90% of the headers in this game. His goal was great and he showed his strength and experience up front against Senderos, Djourou and the other Arsenal defenders.

    4. The combination of Radzinski and Routledge on the wings was great. Both players caused problems in the attack for Arsenal and Fulham perhaps should have scored one or two more goals tonight.

    5. I can't say enough about the play of Philippe Christanval. Having not seen the pitch since August, Christanval played like a champ tonight. He came in and played as though he was a regular. Zat Knight was strong as well.

    6. Liam Rosenior was a stud at left-back tonight. He defended well and was able to get forward. More performances like this and he will one day be considered for a full England call-up.

    7. Papa Bouba Diop played strong in the midfield. His passing was there and he bossed the smaller Fabregas and Gilberto in midfield. We need Papa to play like this more often.

    8. The overall passing game from Fulham was breathtaking. The flow of the game was up and down and more times than not it was Fulham dictating the pace of the game.

    9. Fulham did not just sit back and defend. They played to win and controlled the match from the start all the way til the end. Full credit to Chris Coleman for not pulling the team back at all.

Needless to say, I am shocked Fulham won but could not be happier with the win! Let's get three more at Ewood Park against Blackburn!

Yah great game from Fulham, very proud of the Whites! And McBride showed some real talent and heart out there today, as did all of them.
