If any of you were watching FSC's tape delay of the Everton-Bolton match, you'll know what I'm talking about. I decided to watch this match in the off chance that Bolton's Johann Smith might make an appearance [he didn't]. What I got instead was the best example of British fitba I've seen in many a year. Full-blooded committment, solid defending, great passing, fantastic team play at top speed, and a cracker of a deciding goal. I thought the first half was the best I'd seen all year, and the 2nd half was better. What made it all possible was a solid refereeing job by Uriah Redding [IMHO the best in the EPL] full of good judgement and restraint [until the last 5 minutes or so]. Fantastic fitba from all 22 on the pitch. What a show! I'm sure that FSC is going to replay it a time or two before the week is over. Check your listings and give it a watch.
