I'm making my first trip to Craven Cottage for the Fulham-Reading game on Saturday, Nov. 25. I bought three tickets in Section G of the Johnny Haynes stand (it said restricted view...only 3 seats I could find together...so I'm hoping it's not too bad). 2 friends from Italy were supposed to come meet me, but it looks like they're not going to make it.

Does anyone have suggestions on a pub or somewhere I can go before the game to either or sell or give away these tickets? I'd hate for them to go to waste.

Since it's common knowledge the Golden Lion is a preferred hangout, you can start there.

The door on the Golden Lion will have a sign that says it's for Season ticket holders or members on gamedays. If you say you're a Fulhamusa member you should get in. I didn't have any problems getting in, but the doorkeepers started to recognize me from previous visits.

    Great. Thanks.

I'll be wearing a Fulham jersey, so hopefully they'll let me in!

Any second choices if things don't work out there?

    Getting into the Golden Lion

Use the "password" -- "American Mike sent me!" done in a heavy American accent. Worked for me!!

Me too. Actually, "I'm meeting American Mike" is even better. :D
