During the Miami - Bowling Green telecast tonight, the announcers are talking about -what else- the Saturday game.

Lou Holtz* was an assistant under Woody and recounted a couple anecdotes, notably the case where Woody already well ahead of Michigan went for 2 after another TD.
When asked why he went for two points, Woody replied " Because they wont let me go for three"

But the knee slapper; Holtz noted that Ohio and Michigan actually called out their militias and went to war over their common border in the 1830's.

When one of the other announcers asked how that came out, Holtz replied:

"I suppose Michigan did, Toledo's in Ohio."

    * Actually he's allowed to crack- he was born in Follansbee West Virginia, but he soon learned to walk, and grew up in East Liverpool OH.

Summat Ironic... Michigan obviously lost the battle, but later won big, due to the US imposed settlement terms.
