List your top 5 TV shows on DVD. Before I list mine, I must give my positives and negatives of TV on DVD.

    Positives: No commercials
One episode comes right after another

Negatives: I don't do anything but watch a show for like 6 hours straight.
I immediately want to buy season 2 of whatever show i'm
watching. That can get quite expensive.

Outlook: The positives outweigh the negatives. ;)

    My 5:

    1- Lost
    2- Scrubs
    3- Seinfeld
    4- Alias
    5- The Office

part of the reason for this post is to give me ideas for shows i might be missing out on.

    Glad to see someone else thinks Nip/Tuck has gone over the top {I assume that's it}

It USED to be somewhat believable... now it's just a dirty fairy tale like Desperate HW's

And that's also why I quit watching the Denis Leary series, as well as that 'crooked cop' show ... whatever it was called.

Now I just turn FX on to see if 70's Show is playing.

    1. The Office - British Version
    2. Seinfeld
    3. Arrested Development
    4. The Cosby Show

I prefer watching the half-hour shows. You can get through them quicker.

My wife prefers the likes of:

    Dawson's Creek
    Felicity
and the soon to be released Beverly Hills 90210

1 - Yes Minister & Yes Prime Minister (5 series)
    2 - Sharpe (14 episodes)
    3 - The Young One (2 series)
    4 - South Park

That's it TV DVD I own.

Yes Minister is 1980's political satire, the young ones is 1980s anarchy comedy and sharpe is 1990's period drama from Nepolionic wars.

If I had the money I would add Red Dwarf and Black Adder to my collection.

When I watch Yes Minister I generally watch a whole series (7-8 45 minute episodes) They are briliiant.

Most of my DVDs are movies.
I only own one TV DVD: The complete series of The Dick Van Dyke Show! Best show ever? Possibly.

I'll probably get 'How I Met Your Mother' DVDs if/when they come out. I like that show.

I would get the 'Absolute Power' DVDs, but I can't find them in Region 1 (or whatever region is for North America) DVDs. booo.

I'm looking to add "I dream of Jeannie" to my collection. That and "Superman: The adventures of Lois & Clark". Love Terry Hatcher in that show.
