Went to the game against the paper clips last night...they'll always be the paper clips to me, even though they have a good team now. Anyways, my Jazz are looking good. I'm excited to be interested in the NBA again. I will say that the refs need to cut down on all the technicals though....waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many. last night cuttino mobley got t'd up for NOTHING!!!! I can understand the NBA wanting to cut down on the constant whining by players and coaches, but you can't ring somebody up for flashing a look of incredulity over a call you made on them.

The Jazz do look good thus far. They looked good at this time two years ago as well until injuries to Kirilenko and Boozer put a stop to things. AK47 is hurt already and for your sake and the Jazz' sake, I hope he comes back soon and Booz stays healthy.

If all the pieces of this puzzle stay relatively healthy, I think this team will be a factor this season. It is too early to say anything about an NBA title, but they are definitely playing good.

Another team that has played welll after a slow start are my guys the Warriors. They beat the Mavs in Dallas and then they were the first team to beat the Hornets last week and then they blew out the Pistons on Saturday night before beating the Raptors last night.

I do not expect this team to conpete for a title, but perhaps a playoff spot is within reach. It will be tough to get the eighth spot in the west with all the solid teams, but with strong veterans like Baron Davis, Jason Richardson and Troy Murphy coupled with young guns Monta Ellis, Mikael Pietrus and Andris Biedrins, things are looking up in Oakland.

I know the Jazz waxed them already this season, but the Warriors are a different team now.

I think Monta Ellis is very good for a young player. He impressed me at the end of last year. I agree Tom, your Warriors have been impressive.

Your Jazz beat my Bucks. booo. Although I still expect good things from them this season. The problem is my other team, the Timberwolves...

The Bucks had a nice win over the Hawks last night on the road. The Hawks have actually been impressive in the early part of the season. Also, those evergreen Bucks jerseys are fantastic!

As for the Timberwolves, it could be a long season for them. They are not very good from the early looks of things.

I read a funny quote from Mike D'Antoni last night about Boris Diaw. For those who do not know, Diaw came into training camp overweight and out of shape following his breakout season last year.

D'Antoni said of Diaw, "I think he ate every croissant he passed when he was back in France."

To answer your question, I think the presence of Amare Stoudamire is causing the team to build chemistry once again. Last season without Stoudamire, the team learned to play with one another and that has changed with Stoudamire back.

I think with time and with players like Stoudamire and Diaw working themselves back into playing shape the Suns will find their groove and win their divison at least. Not sure about anything beyond that. Time will tell.

Chemistry is a huge thing in the NBA.

For those few NBA fans out there.....tonight a nice doubleheader on TNT. The Bulls play the Rockets at 7PM CST followed by the Warriors playing the Kings at 9:30PM CST.

should be two good games tommy boy. Nellie's got the Warriors playing some good ball, and Kevin Martin has been a huge surprise on the Kings. Rockets are playing well too, and I think the Bulls are one of the top teams in the East

The Bulls have underachieved big time thus far. I was not one who thought the Bulls were going to the Finals this season, but I did expect them to be better than the last two seasons. What is annoying about the Bulls right now is that they are NOT playing defense and they are NOT rebounding. Those are two areas where myself and many other Bulls fans thought the team would not have a problem. Unfortunately, they have had major problems in those two areas.

The Rockets are playing well thanks to Yao Ming. He is finally living up to his billing when he was drafted and in my opinion is the best center in the league.

As for the Warriors, for those who have not seen them this season, check out their center, Andris Biedrins. He is not the best offensive player, but he rebounds well, blocks shots and gets himself into good offensive positions to score underneath the hoop. Also, check out Monta Ellis. The second-year player is making the league take notice of him. I just hope the Warriors can continue their winning ways. I fear a let down tonight though.
