    Don't they have a position they can run on? Have the GOP no shame? Had Enough?

    A Dem talking about 'platforms'... Sounds like Democrat tactics to me.. I suppose youre trying to wear me out doing searches, and OF COURSE you dont ever read of Dems doing that because you get your news from the STRIB

    And I am as upset about Repubs acting like Dems as you are.

    BTW: I dunno if you guys watching Jim Webb, G Allen race realize Webb is more conservative than Allen on many social issues...

    Petty, I told you a good month ago that the reason Webb sounded familiar to you was that he was UnderSecy of the Navy under Reagan. He became someone to hate in VA because he was and is a rival of a certain Marine Lt.Col who is a god there.

    Webb has always been a conservative. He also has a brain and isn't a racist jerk, so you must have assumed he was a libera. :D

    I was wrong about the election. I told GBFC last week that I thought the Republicans would retain both houses. First because we're in a war, second because politics is basically local. Heck even when he was about to be impeached Clinton picked up seats in the House during his last off-year election.

    But when I saw that Chafee lost his senate seat in RI with a 60+ approval rating, I realized that this really was a national election.

    So I was wrong. But Petty was right. He said the Dems would take the House.

    Where is the Fog? He's an old guy, like me. He has to sleep some time! :wink:
