I think we have a shot; just got to watch out for AJ.

The good news is that BMB loves playing against American goalies. I was sorry to see Keller go to Germany; Brian was always good for one goal at least against him.

I'll be up early in the a.m. for this one, in the chatroom thinking about our play-by-play goddess cheering with the folks!

    That's right I am a goddess.

I'm excited and nervous about this match, I can see Fulham getting a victory and I can, also, see Fulham getting defeated by a good margin. Please, no 4-5-1 this time, Fulham are playing at home. I want to see a noble attempt at 3 points, at least. No playing for draw at home. I hate that.

I wish to Mike's starting line-up on the field for the starting whistle, too.

    COYWs!

Apparently Diop and Brown are out of commission for tomorrow. I say "Attaaack!" first and defend as necessary.

Therefore, my edited line-up for tomorrow:

    ---------------------- Niemi --------------------------------

    --- Rosenior ---- Pearce ---- Knight ---- Queuedrue---

    --- Routledge ----- Jensen ---- Boa Morte ---- Radz ---

    ------------ Helguson ----------- McBride ----------------

    Bench:
    The other keeper
    Volz
    Bocanegra
    John ("In case of emergency")
Omosuzi (let's see the youngster stretch his legs...for about 10 minutes)

    Fulham 2 - 1 Everton

Sucks to have our two enforcers out of the midfield picture. I don't think there's enough toughness in PCBs new lineup. I'd have Boca back in the holding position at the expense of either Jensen or Radz, and I still think that Liam's having a rougher patch than usual, so I'd rest him in favor of Volzy.

    Get some Toffees!

Agreed, Don. I'd like to see at least one defensive-minded player in the midfield. Boca has handled that role well enough, but our backs are really going to step up like they did vs Villa.

    -------------------------- Niemi -------------------------------

    --- Rosenior ---- Pearce ---- Knight ---- Queuedrue ---

    ---------------------------- Boca -----------------------------

    ------ Routledge ------------------------- Boa Morte ------

    ----------------------- Jensen/Radz ------------------------

    ------------ Helguson ----------- McBride -----------------

Changing shape is alway risky- playing a diamond is not a bad idea as long as the team gels. It will never happen buy I would loose Knight. Boca is quick and can jump and reads the game better. He is never given a proper run. Let Zat sit on the bench for a while.

    -------------------------- Niemi -------------------------------

    --- Rosenior ---- Pearce ---- Boca---- Queuedrue ---

    ----------------------Boa Morte--------------------------

    ------ Routledge ------------------------- Jensen ------

    ---------------------------Helguson-----------------------

    ------------ John ---------------- McBride --------------

Well, I struggled out of bed, pulled on my FUSA shirt, and logged into the chatroom just in time to see PCB log off!

My other page tells me that we're still level at naughts at half time. I'm headed back to the chatroom to see if anyone shows up -- DCH WE MISS YOU!

Gig last night and I'm still in dire need of caffeine.

HA! I didn't even go to bed last night. I've been up since 10:00am Friday...play guitar, do some work, record guitar, throw some darts, eat food, do more work, roam around aimlessly. Sleep is overrated...maybe I am a vampire.

    0-0 at half.

64 minutes in CLAUS JENSEN! OFF CARNSLEY AND IN! What a lucky deflection!

    1-0 Fulham!

UPDATE: Fulham holds off Everton, who had some opportunities to tie it up, but Niemi and the defense said NO. Fulham WINS~! over Everton, chewing and spitting out the Toffees 1-0.

A nice win for the boys!! The first half was not the prettiest of displays from the Cottagers, but I think Fulham perfected the bend but don't break defense during the first 45 minutes.

The second half saw a completely different Fulham team that was full of energy and was creating scoring chances. The goal was deserved from Fulham.

Once again a great win to start November. Things will get a bit tougher in the next two weeks with road trips to Portsmouth and Manchester City.

COYW!! My weekend has started well.

Nice to have Texas Wayne, FFCPCB, and Optimiser in the Chatroom, but DCH WE MISS YOU!

Great second half for the Whites! A win over a quality team, and it sounded like the boys worked their @$^^ off. I never ask for more that that. And Rummy's Superhero saved the bacone more than once today!

According to HatterMom, The Shirt is now 3-2-1 -- 11 of 18 points. Not Bad!

Hope the FulhAmericans in attendance had a great day. Looking forwqrd to the firsthand reports and the great photogs!

Incidentally, Manchester United is playing, Fulham's next opponent, Portsmouth on Setanta now. I'll watch some of the game to get something resembling a read on the team. Though considering it's Alex Fergeson's 20th anniversery with MU (and the team being, uh, MU), I don't know if Portsmouth has a chance.

I will say that if Fulham plays like they did in the second half more often and for a full 90 minutes, they can hang with almost anybody. The Cottagers played very well then (and just OK in the first half). Any idea who the man of the match was? Was it Claus Jensen? Carlos Bocanegra? Antti Niemi? Chief? McCloud?

Great win. They looked like a super team in the second half. Have you noticed that when they play like s*** in the first half, they usually come out strong int he second half. As bad as the 1st half was, and as much as Everton had the ball near our goal, they really did not get that many really good chances. The Fulham defense bent but did not break.

It was a beautiful day at the Cottage and I was so jealous of DCH being there! I'm very glad she finally got to see a win.

Mike, were you in the front row, or close to it? They showed a guy on the screen that looked like you cheering for Fulham.

Great result, rubish performance. It was not dissimilar to the Charlton game, we had a good period and scored.

Jensen was absent for the first half, Rosinior has his best game of the season and McBride worked his bits off wihtout service or support.

It would help if we had some defensive midfielders back. Bocca does well but is out of position. Antti made a great double save at the feet of AJ and no-one got in Nevilles face after getting a yellow.

While stats don't tell the whole story, Everton had more shots, more on target, more posession, and in their last third than us.

Lets hope as more players come back we get a little more control of the midfield as we will pay a price if we don't.

Pompy are having a little wobble so it could be a good time to play them.
