I know many of you are like me and will take and absorb anything involved with Fulham and its history so I wanted to share this with you.

As you may know, Viva El Fulham was an album put out in the 70's (I think) by Fulham players from past and present as well as the supporters due to fulham climbing up the tables.

I gave it a listen for the first time today and although its outdated, it was great to hear it.

I wondered if anyone else might be interested in it?! Hint, Hint

Mike, I'd love to hear it.

I remember some really crappy team songs coming out in the 70s when I was there -- "Blue is the Colour" and "We are Luton Town you know" to mention some, but "Nice One, Cyril" from THFC was pretty good. And Viva El Fulham goes down well with the San Antonio culture.

Having suffered many football song - viva el fulham is right up there with the very worst. It is sung to the tune of viva espania. It gets played at the cottage occasionally.

Having said that - I love it and have it on a very beat up single stolen from my dad's record collection.

If you want to experience it fully you should acquaint yourself the Fulham players from the early 70's during the Alex Stock era.

I'm always tempted to buy it when I'm browsing around Amazon, but it's still never made it to the shopping cart. I'd love to have a listen!

There is some interest in this. I don't currently own a record player, but over the weekend I will see if I can rip a copy of the song, if I do the quality will be very poor, although many would see that as a benefit.

There is a much newer song release by "Colin & the Cottagers" called "We're not real madrid", this is fairly bad also, but I have that on CD and mp3. If you would like to hear it I will email you a copy (I don't own web space that I can put it on and US copyright law will most likely see me in some quaint Alabama penitentiary, and I'm too pretty for that!)

    Mike,

    God, that's awful, isn't it? :D I love it! 8)

At least they got someone who could sing to record it. Thanks for the link. I'm going to be listening to this over and over. I might revise a few lyrics to update it to Cookie and the Prem. If I do, I'll post them to you.

Man, what a way to start a work day. Thanks.

My favorite is the 2nd track which is called "You Lucky People" and there has been some talk of making it a song at the Cottage once again.

    Its so bad, its good!

Sill listening to this cd I bought on ebay. Mixed reviews so far. While there are a few dfinitely related tracks to Fulham (Viva el Fulham, and others), there are definitely some that I am not getting. (Julie Brown, Candy Girl,....)
