    So says This researcher

However... doesn't say anything about who's smarter, right, girls?

In a world in which the only constant is change, it's nice to see that The Daily Mail is as full of crap today as it was when I first read it 40 years ago.

Thanks for the chuckle, Fog.

I wouldn't be surprised if men were more intelligent than women. But then again a three point difference on a IQ test doesn't seem like a whole lot. But I do think women are better than their male counterparts in "emotional intelligence," which I think makes them very valuable in the workplace.

But I do find the results kind of funny. A male co-worker, who was very competitive against me, challenged me with one of those free IQ tests you see every once in awhile. I beat him by 12 points. A small sample in our male v. female intelligence case study, but very entertaining. :3d laughing:

Heather, you may be right on one count; you also are absolutely right on another. Men may, in general, rank slightly higher in measurable intelligence. Studies certainly seem to indicate as such.
However, a few IQ points, in the long run, don't tend to make much (if any) difference at all. Intelligent is intelligent--and while that intelligence is applicable to different skill sets for different people, we all have our little niches and I certainly don't think that makes one gender any more superior than the other (not that that argument has been raised, but still...). In fact, that's what makes the world so great; the diversity in terms of not only applicable intelligence but general personalities (in addition to more obvious traits such as race, size, and physical ability) is just one of the things that make this crazy, wonderful world go 'round.
Can anyone help me get down? This soapbox is very high.
