World Heath Org: Bring back DDT!... UN, Greenpeace: No Way!

    Of course ONE of those organizations cares about the health of the global poor; the other two do, as well.. when it suits their agenda.

    Starting point: Silent Spring by Rachel Carson... in which she justly pointed out DDT was the cause of declining bird flocks around the world.

    End Point: UN and treehugger groups want production and use of the chemical totally banned.

    Lost in the middle: DDT was vastly overused when applied in aerosol mode. As you might suspect When you read this

    But some 'informed people', like Al Gore, only learn things once.... after that they defend to the death, even when proved wrong.

    So efforts to use only topical application are met with stiff resistance

    Ah, well, after Rwanda and Darfur, what can you expect.... let's put it down as 'incidental birth control'.
