A glorified friendly yes, but it was nice to see Chelsea lose again. I don't know what all this Morinuho excuse making were not ready for this game, we don't have our legs crap is all about. Its a week before the season Jose, if you haven't found your legs yet I'm not sure how you plan on doing it in the next week. Liverpool was prepared why weren't you?

The community shield is always far from friendly...it is an age old one off game that with the winner getting braggin rights and some nice silverware. It was great to see the scum lose again...

    Well done to Liverpool...

So, if it isn't the "Charity Sheild" any more does that mean that the proceeds aren't going to charities anymore?

I thought Liverpool looked great. Pepe Reina was the best keeper in the Prem last year and he looks good. I still think Jamie Carragher is the best cental defender England have to choose from. The surprise for me was Sisoko. I saw him a half dozen times last season and he didn't impress. He was everywhere; just what you want in a midfielder.

Bummed that FSC don't have the ManYoo match, but the pub I gigged in last night has Sentara, so I may make it over for the match if they're open.
