so this is a nifty arguement. I have never owned a hybrid or electric car, but if we to be able to afford one it would be a no brainer for me.

This movie was created basically to understand why big companies havent made the push for a movement of electric cars in the mainstream. Its sad to think that the oil and motor companies make billions in profit a year and only fractions of that go to research in making more efficient environmentally friendly cars.

its not a debate really, these companies have surpressed the idea of less fuel consumption basically to pad their pockets... they are not forced or they do not have incentive to make cars that use any other type of energy but what they sell or are affiliated with. We have a dependency on foreign oils and can't free ourselves because of the closemindedness and the end is no where in sight.

I have only a little input here... at WTO or G-8 meetings this should be top priority... I think the world could come together and push for a more affordable version of the fully electric car which was aparently a great product. BUT UGLY AS HELL, why do that?

I can believe they nixed the production of this car and never revived it especially NOW when I pay 3.60 a gallon and travel 50 miles a day.

Here's a good electric/low emissions site that has a lot of good points, though they obviously are drinking the 'Global Warming caused by man' Kool-Aid

Oh.. and Fuel Cells DO pollute, unless they use pure hydrogen, which conversion costs and transport problems still inhibit.

Summary: The Hybrid is the all-round 'best green' option availble at the moment.. INCLUDING ELECTRICS. That is, if it doesnt ethanol.

When the treehuggers relent on the anti-nuke, THEN all-electric, plug into the house to charge will be practical

leave your magic twanger out of this...

Ask Big oil that question with record breaking billion dollar profits. Its seems they are doing just fine.

I'm talking about the motion to moving on to something like this... Cali has terrible power infastructures, but some of the world does not. Its a step. Technology has been stagnant here for years... I wish a more progressive approach to fixing all issues not one at a time.
