New thread; new poll. Who do you hate the most and why.
Note: since not everyone on this site is FTID, #1 isn't a given. Here's mine:

    1. Chelscum -- Always has been my #1, long before I swore fealty to FFC. Arrogant attitude, thuggish fans, inconsionable racism. The better their play on the pitch, the more I hate them.

    2. AC Milan -- The embodiment of everything that's wrong with Italian football, from the blatant manipulation of its ownership, to the superior attitude of its players, to the worst fans of any sport in the history of the world. The fact that they were the most egregious sinners in the last scandal and got the lightest punishment shows that they are the dark side of the force. :3d devil:

    3. Watford -- They are to my Hatters what the Blue Poo are to Fulham. If you're a Hatter you hate the Dirty Yellows! But they get a special dispensation this year because they pay the wages of Jay DeMerit. :D

    4. Everton -- During the 80s when LTFC were in the old first division, the "other Blue Poo" did everything they could to get the Hatters kicked out of the league. They threatened to forfeit FA and League Cup matches played at Kenilworth Road, and they attempted to get a minimum attendance capacity rule passed at 5,000 fans higher than Luton's legal limit. I gave them a slide when Brian was there, but I just love it when they get their buttocks roasted. :3d laughing:

    5. Millwall -- The only ground where I've ever been literally afraid for my life. When their supporters knock the crap out of each other during the match, you kind of worry about your can on transport back to Luton. I understand the New Den isn't quite the Glasgow tenement it was when I was there, but I'll have to take your word for it.

    1. Chelsea- do I need an explanation?
    2. Portsmouth- they remind me of a smelly co-worker I once knew but could never avoid.
    3. Arsenal - they just annoy me and dive way too much.

I guess I only detest three teams but I'm sure I'll think of others later.

Well I don't hold grudges but there are a few teams I root against.

    1) Chelscum- just a given, our rivals, dirty Russian money, tap ups, a$$ of a manager, no flair

    2) Italy- I don't really have anything against the country but the current team really irks me, incessant whining and diving drives me nuts, hated how they beat Australia and how the guy who scored did the suck the thumb thing, also hate their ex pat fans in Australia(most probably were 2nd generation and should be cheering for Australia anyway) who were setting off flairs in celebration at their own countries expense

    3) Liverpool- boring, no flair, to many Spaniards

    4) Real Madrid- same as Chelsea, just to big and greedy, plus what’s up with the racist ultras?

    5) Mexico- don't really hate them with a passion or anything but they are rather classless, and seeing how much they hate us its just fun to beat them

    quick five favs
    1)USA
    2)Fulham
    3)Minnesota Thunder
    4)Canada
5)MLS allstars- at least this weekend seeing who they're playing

    1. Chelsea - It's really tough to root for Manchester United twice a year just to make the Premiership mean something due to Chelsea's outrageous spending even compared to their equals in greed like...

    2. Manchester United - They used to be my prohibitive number 1. Even before I really followed soccer I hated this team for its money waving (as I hated the Yankees since I was a little kid). Though recently they're in danger of dropping further off the hated list because I just want them to shut up the anti-American crowd for the club. Oh, by the way, as many people know my second team is Manchester City for this very reason. I love the idea of Manchester City more than the actual team whereas I love the actual Fulham fully.

    3. D.C. United - Though I'm forced to root for them on occasion since they represent the United States quite well in friendlies and used to in international club cups as the best team here.

    4. Bayern Munich - Mostly because one of my friends in college was one of their biggest supporters in the United States and all he would do was talk about them incessantly. I don't even care about the Bundesliga.

    5. Chivas (Guadalajara though I also hate Chivas USA) - Living in a 1/2 Mexican neighborhood here in Chicago (the other 1/2 is Polish) all I see all day when I'm out is Chivas, Chivas, Chivas. Though I don't support Club America since that's just dangerous for a white dude.

Other teams I hate: 6) Portsmouth (the world's most hateable supporters because they talked smack about a piss poor team and now that they've got money they're even worse), 7) Everton (same as Bayern Munich but current), 8 ) Cork City (because their supporters use a confederate flag as their logo - what the **** is up with that), 9) Barcelona (though I have too much respect for them to really hate them like the EPL teams and really don't hate them more that Real Madrid as the big team in La Liga), 10) The entirety of Serie A (and Juventus as well) - that whole league is all the reasons why Americans hate soccer rolled into one set of teams.

The five English club teams I hate the most:

    1. Chelsea - not just because they are Fulham's hated rival, but because the way they spend money. They have messed up the transfer market for all teams in some way and what this club has done is bad from the game.

    2. Newcastle - a club with a lot of tradition, but in the time I have followed the league have been nothing but a bunch of underachievers. They spend way too much and get nothing in return. I am not an Alan Shearer fan and while he may be retired now, he will always be a bar code to me and I will never like this club.

    3. West Bromwich Albion - Never have liked this team and in the past two seasons, this club has played dirty against Fulham and they have resorted to tactics that and unsportsmanlike at times. Whether against Fulham or other clubs, Bryan Robson had this team playing like fools out of control.

    4. Portsmouth - there is something about this team I do not like. I am not sure if it has something to do with harry Redknapp, the crazy supporters on the south coast, Volzy getting pushed from behind into the stands during the 2004-2005 season or what, but I do not like this team at all.

    5. Leeds United - Another club where I celebrated upon their relegation after the 2003-2004 season. Alan Smith, Mark Viduka, Harry Kewell and others were all just a complete bunch of goofs to me. Never liked their kits and never liked the supporters of this club.

Runners-Up: Manchester City, Bolton, Blackburn, Liverpool

    Top 5 Soccer:
    1) Chelzskeet skeet- for who they are and being too much like other non soccer teams i hate (Duke/Yankees)....and I just dont like 'em...make me wanna put my hand in a grinder knowing my girlfriend likes them to A) piss me off and B) what ALL the money in the world can buy you...the real way soccer got started, in the wallets of siberians

    2) Portsmouth- w/ Teddy i gave them a chance to like...but more of their fans i hear and see makes me realize if England had an anus, it goes to figure Portsmouth would be there...

    3) Arsenal- if Henry wasnt on the squad they would be up there at numero uno...but never have liked the gunners/cannoners (but isnt it a cannon on their shirt???) hopefully all the toliets will stop up on them at their new stadium

    4) AC Milan- never cared for 'em, never will

    5) Warner Southern men's team- my college soccer team rival, classless and mega crap...as soon as a game got out of reach for them, apparently they thought that meant it was time to start fighting and spiting....

    Non Soccer

    1) Duke- i dont have enough space to write on this, lets say I was born a Carolina (and if you get that confused w/ South Carolina i will be very mad) fan, not just a fan, but the passion i'm developing for Fulham more and more each day....and Duke lets just say makes me want to get a flesh eating disease and have my eyes burned w/ iron rods at the though of them doing well...in anything..even standing in unemployment lines :3d funny:

    2) the yankees b/c everyone DOES NOT love the yankees, i'm not in love w/ the red sox, but rather them...heck the mets than the yankees....

    3) the Lakers, but now that they have fallen back on hard times..it is not as much fun to hate them...

    4) The Tampa Bay Bucs, just b/c i love pissing everyone around me in Florida off, as most support the yucs...

    5) Carolina Hurricanes....b/c they are not honoring the Whale...Hartford 4 Life...and b/c my family in Raleigh gives me crap about the Lightning...damn strike year stopped the back 2 back from happening....

I have plenty more i hate, but bed is calling finally that laundry is done....i can tell you that

    I'M FULHAM TILL I DIE :3d smile:

    1. Chelsea - I hated this team before it become fashionable.

    2. Man Utd - Although loved them when I grew up (before I knew better) after my trip to Old Trafford last season to see Fulham play, my hatred grew to the nth degree. It really pissed me off to see bus loads of fans making the trip from Surrey (yeah, further than I had to travel on the Fulham coach), from Birmingham, from London, etc. just to see the Reds plays. These 'fans' were bandwagon jumpers that couldn't be bothered to support real team, not even their local ones! Arrogant grrrr...

    3. West Ham - Again, another trip where we met some nasty supporters. While walking behind an FFC father and son, three middle aged men walked straight into the kid, knocking him over and saying, "don't worry, he's only a little Fulham C$#t.

    4. Pompey - Harry Rednapp, the media darling and TRAITOR! Their stadium is crap, many of their fans talk crap at any given chance, their arrogance is growing. Did I mention Harry?? Ugh.

    5. Tottenham - Another team thats arrogance is growing. This is also personal since my first verbal fight in Craven Cottage was the night we beat them in the final minute (Boca scored!) against spurs. There was a Spurs fan sitting in the front row of Riverside X block, I was three rows behid him. He was with a Fulham fan and the spurs fan behaved all match. Then, towards the end of the match, Boa had a throw in right in front of us and the guy got up and started yelling some of the nastiest things I have ever heard. So me, being in the 'home only' section got up and told him to sit down and shut up as did the guys behind me. He started spitting at us whilst his FFC friend plead with him to shut up. 1 minute later, Boca scored and he sat down, hands in face and then ran up the stairs and was gone. SWEET JUSTICE.

    1. Chelski - I'm so repulsed by the thought of this mafia syndicate that I refuse to befriend girls named "Chelsea." Seriously, where do you begin with this club? Everything about Chelski seems fake, especially their "fans" (about 80% of whom started supporting them after their first title).

A regular poster in another forum that I frequent put it best when comparing Chelski to a "lazy kid who inherits a huge fortune from his parents." The Blue Poos, to put it as nicely as I can, are a bunch of bougie-ass clowns. Nothing more.

    2. any team managed by Guus Hiddink - I can't understand why people want to call Hiddink one of the best managers in the world. For some reason, he gets all the respect in the world, none of which he actually deserves. His successes are all based on luck, luck, and even more luck, with a few hints of absolutely horrendous refereeing mixed in as well.

Everybody makes a big deal about his work with the South Korean squad, but they seem to forget rather conveniently that the referees were the ones who took Koreans to the semifinals. At PSV, he only won trophies and accolades because of his club's link-up with Chelski. If you saw the Japan-OZ match at this year's WC, you would have seen at least one penalty (if not two) that should have been awarded to Japan; again, the ref ruled in Hiddink's favor.

So it was really ironic that his World Cup run ended on a rather questionable call. I sincerely hope he cried after the match.

    3. Newcastle - They're sorta like Real Madrid, except with less money and a much longer trophy-less streak. Their chairman is an idiot, their fans are delusional, and the stars they overpay for usually become flops. Basically, they're just a wannabe massive club.

    4. West Brom - They have done their best to ruin Junichi Inamoto's career. Ina was the main reason why I started to follow Fulham and really grew to like the club itself over time. I really hoped to see him do well for West Brom, but aside from that goal he scored against us in the League Cup, he hasn't been able to do much. For his sake, I hope he leaves West Brom for good.

    5. I gave up trying to choose between Charlton, Lazio, Real Madrid, Rangers, Portsmouth, and England NT. I've never been fond of any of those teams.

    1. Mexico- Country comes way before club for me and this is the team I by far hate the most. I can't stand them at all and I especially hate that piece of crap Rafa Marquez. They think they are better than the US and whenever we beat them they make excuses. They have no class at all and their fans are even worse. I just freaking hate them and no matter how many words I type it still won't explain how much hate I have for them.

    2. Newcastle- Their fans are rubbish who think they are a big club. Big Clubs win things they haven't won shit in a long long time. Now that Shearer is gone they are gonna rely on Ameobi oh wow that's gonna be funny.

    3. Chelsea-Rivals to us and I hate their fans.

    4. AC Milan- Hope they like Serie B. While we are winning the scudetto they will be challenging for promotion.

    5. Portugal- This is the worst team when it comes to diving. Cronaldo is the biggest diver of them all and I hate diving. I love that moment in South Korea in 2002 almost as much as I love that moment against Mexico.

Is this really the kind of thread that we should be showing the rest of the world in trying to promote Fulham FC.

Hate is a strong word and I really dont want to be associated with this kind of thread.

Perhaps the person who submitted it should have said 5 Teams you would most like to beat and why, but NOT Hate...Grow up

Is hate really that strong a word though? I guess if you take it literally than yeah its strong. But it is such an over used word in the English language, at least in this country that the sting doesn’t really exist. Not for me any way. It is so common to hear "I hate this" or "I hate so and so". Kind of like EPL announcers using the word massive. You really can't take it literally. Can you?

I think, hope, everyone understood the spirit of the headline, and of our beloved HatterDon. The word "Hate" can sometimes be funny, and I think for the most part people are using it in a child-like, humorous, and sportsmanlike way for their posts.

Unless they are talking about Chelscum.

If you read the defination from the English dictionary you will see the word "Strong" so yes it is.

    \Hate\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Hated}; p. pr. & pr. & vb. n.
{Hating}.] [OE. haten, hatien, AS. hatian; akin to OS. hatan,
hat?n to be hostile to, D. haten to hate, OHG. hazz?n,
hazz?n, G. hassen, Icel. & Sw. hata, Dan. hade, Goth. hatan,
    hatian. ???. Cf. {Hate}, n., {Heinous}.]
    1. To have a great aversion to, with a strong desire that
evil should befall the person toward whom the feeling is
directed; to dislike intensely; to detest; as, to hate
    one's enemies; to hate hypocrisy.

While Don probably mixes a "Strong" drink, I don't think he meant it that way, but let him tell you so if he feels like it. I certainly didn't take it that way, and this conversation has becoming really annoying, and I do very much "Hate" that.

    1- Kobe Bryant.
    2- A Selecao do Brasil
    3- Portsmouth

Reasons: First of all, you don't have to tell me how highly dominant Brazil is, nor Kobe Bryant. This is a "who do you hate" thread, and I'm saying who i hate. I could only come up with three which is pretty amazing. I can't stand Kobe cuz he's a prick...always has been, and still hasn't grown up. If he got traded to my favorite team, I'd find a new team...put it that way. I lived in Brazil for 2 years, and as great as their team is, and as fun to watch as they are, living amongst their ignorant people drove me to hate the national team. (that doesn't mean I hate brazilians or any players in particular...i just cheer for whoever they are playing. you should try doing that down there amonst a bunch of brazilians...it's pretty funny to see their reaction.) Finally, Portsmouth. Really, the only reason I can think of for hating them is I think Harry Redknapp is dorky looking. That's the sole reason. Pretty harsh, aren't I?
