Once in a Lifetime, The Incredible Story of the NY Cosmos

Anybody seen this yet?
I am in Dallas and it opens here this Fri. I believe.
I grew up a Chicago Sting Fan (w/Karl Heinz Granitza) and was always jealous of the Cosmos hype machine.
Very interested to see this movie and the reviews have been very good.
Shepp Messing (Cosmos Goalie) is on the Glenn Davis Soccer Show from Houston tonight (Wednesday night) at 9pm central (790 am, and on the internet from the radio website http://www.790kbme.com/main.html ).

I hope to get a copy sent over to me here, that or find a copy online...I'm very interested in seeing it. It was a 'Super-Team' of the earlier retirees in football.

But they still ran circles around some of the pros.

I saw Once in a Lifetime this morning.
Very interesting movie, similar to "Kid Stays in the Picture" if you ever saw that one.
I didn't realize just how big soccer was, and then how quickly it collapsed.
Steve Ross was about 25 years ahead of his time, clearly.
They took a semi-pro team and sold-out Giants Stadium 8 years later.
The penalty shoot-out thing was pretty interesting - 35 yards from the goal and you have 5 seconds to score (one on one vs. goalie)- didn't remember that.
I really recommend the movie.
Very fun to hear the former players talk about playing in NY - you get the sense that it was the best time in their lives.
Cool movie.
