Republican vs. Republican... FIGHT!

I guess it was only a matter of time before the apparent abuse of executive power was called by a fellow Republican. Its sad... this should NEVER ever happen, but of course, it has.

"The ABA estimated Bush has issued signing statements on more than 800 statutes, more than all other presidents combined."

If that quote just doesnt say it all.

Basically signing statements are little blurbs put at the end of each of these statutes as they come across the Presidents desk. The point of these things? Who knows... but those reviewing the legalese of the bills are exposed to the signing statements which may offer the presidents opinion... which in this country IS NOT SUPPOSED TO MATTER... at least not to the effect that it has.

its a short read. I have no clue what to say other than, I didnt think GW could read or write... but he can apparently sign his name...
