I've followed Fulham since the 2001-02 season, but I've never really spoken up on this site. Greetings from Cedar Rapids, IA.

I'm a young English teacher going into my second year next year. I'm hoping to make it out to Craven Cottage sometime in the not-too-distant future.

I'm also a big fan of the Chicago Fire in MLS, the University of Iowa Hawkeyes american football team, and the Milwaukee Brewers in baseball. Some of you will recognize my name from BigSoccer.

    Oh, and go Cottagers!

Welcome Fire! Good to see you've made it over to FulhamUSA! Any particular reason why you started following the Cottagers?

There are three main reasons I started following the Cottagers.

    1) I started paying attention to them regularly after Eddie Lewis' first year and got caught up in their promotion campaign.

    2) The Cottage. The first time I saw an entire match, I was blown away. I loved everything about the ground. The gable, the cottage, and (especially) the fans. It sounded like 40,000 on TV.

    3) The McBride and Bocanegra signings. I was already a casual fan, but this was really the clincher. My favorite Fire defender and my favorite national team player on the same squad. It has gone beyond that though, and I'll root for Fulham even when they're gone. I guess I'll pull for any yank to do well when they're not playing us.

    Thanks for the welcome.

Hope to see you on here more.

The Cottage is an awsome place but that is a complete understatement...its hard to picture a Cottage in the corner of a stadium but its there.

I suspect Boca will get alot more playing time this year, if he is healthy. At the end of last year he got a 'mystery injury'.

    Anywho, Welcome again.
