    Hi guys...

Anyone here savvy enough to give me advice on "backing up" some of my applications post validation?

I remember back a few years ago applications being swapped in a format where it was imaged off a machine and saved on a disk so that it could be extracted instantly.

I used to have paper work on this, but I've lost it.

I swear I dont want to steal my companies software and use it at home.

I'm not sure if this completely what you are looking for but we use this at work:

That DC... this is what I was considering...

But me being on a FED computer might throw up flags when I'm trying to perform my "backup".

There used to be a much grimmier method.

    DAMN THE DRINKING...

Which Department? We use this software all the time on the Hill, the IT people will even create full back-up images of any computer in my office if I ask.

The only trouble you might have is if it's a confidential computer, then you shouldn't even bother. You won't get out the door with your disk. Do you have IT Support available to you? They could probably create a back-up disk for you, if they haven't already done so.

I may have fibbed with this one...

    I work for the Treasury.

... as for my IT department... yeah, I could get them to do it... but doesnt mean i'll make it out to the parking lot.

Yeah, you don't have much options. It don't think the backing-up that would raise a flag, it would be you downloading (anything onto your computer) the software to do the back-up that would raise a flag. The IT people have probably prevented users from making significant alterations their computers.

I would contest to that only because I'm quite tech savvy and they can barely tie thier sweat pants.

Half of them are morbidly obese, I can outrun them all. I just want to steal a full vesion of acrobat professional.
