    Hi,

My name is Tim and I'm from Salt Lake City. I've been a huge McBride fan for years, but have never really followed soccer outside of the US national Team - even traveled to see some games in person - and being completely mesmorized by the World Cup every 4 years, although soccer was my number 1 sport I played as a kid and can't wait until my boys are old enough to get signed up. Soccer has always been a huge sport in my family.

When I heard McBride signed with Fulham a few years back I started to loosely follow the team, and they have always been my 'team' when playing the best video game ever, Winning Eleven. Having the MLS come to Salt Lake has completely re-ignited my passion for the sport.

I have never really followed European Football closely, as I've been a Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks fan since birth, but have been doing a ton of research on how it all works, so I hope to quickly pick up speed, although I won't know as much about some of the players right away, so don't bash me too hard if I ask stupid questions!

Anyway, I am hoping there is room for one more if I jump on the bandwagon, I promise not to make a fool of myself too much. This site is awesome, and everybody seems great here, looking forward to the ride.

Any and all are welcome Tibor! Welcome to FulhamUSA!! Nobody gets ripped on here. We might disagree with one another, but I would like to think we debate points in a nice way on here compared to other boards.

Do not worry about not knowing all the players and such yet. We will get you up to speed. If you ever have questions let us all know. We are here to help, not to tear down. There is no such thing as a dumb question. We were all in your shoes at some point.

    Cheers and thanks for joining!

I almost forgot about the days sitting infront of a computer a few years ago at work asking myself, "What the hell does COYW's mean?? Is it a British thing??!!"

Welcome aboard tibor and this is no bandwagon because if you haven't figured it out yet Fulham is full up major ups and downs but when we are up, you'll appreciate 3 points like you never have before. Guaranteed...ask anyone who was in the FulhamUSA chat room the day we beat Man City away this past season. Or, even better, when we beat Chels@*@.

Yeah part of the appeal to me originally with Fulham, looking past the McBride thing as I know he only has a couple years left was thinking to myself as I read about the recent history of the team and read various posts to see the attitude of the fans etc was that it seems to parallel my Seattle Seahawks a lot. Some great years, some horrible years, and a lot of years in between, never really going one way or another; the little brother searching for respect and wanting to be picked to play with all the big boys.

As you can imagine, last season for me (besides the Superbowl of course) was a dream come true, and the only thing I would have traded for all those bad years was the victory in the big game.

Here's to Fulham making some noise this year, whether the big wigs like it or not.

    Thanks Tom!

Maybe this is just a difference in cultures, but I have a feeling if any American sports team had a tagline of 'Carry on You Whites!' the NAACP would be all over it. That's when we'll know Fulham has made it.

Tibor, FYI...COYW's stands for Come On You Whites. I am not writing this to rip you, I am just writing this to help you.

    Cheers!
