Kate, being Mike's bit of fluff in London! (i probally get a slap for that, hopefully from Kate!)

and she's not a bad footballer either!

that's great...heather, you can be on the Surrey side then, Mike is breaking all the rules by trying to recruit from across the atlantic for his side Middlesex (n.b, he lives in Srrey!!)

Hopefully I'll get the new McBride #20 jersey sometime this week or next.

What are the rules in determining whether you're a Middlesex or Surrey player?

I used to live near Watford, wouldn't that make me a North of the Thames supporter? Or would I be a Surrey player since I live in the Mason Dixon State, according to VB's rules?

Are you suggesting all us Americans know each other? That's quite racist.

I'll play on whichever team the rules dictate, I wouldn't want to be involved in any match-fixing scandal, unlike some Italian-American that lives in Surrey but plays for the other side. The cheater.

OUCH!! I will say that it was the boys of Middlesex that helped me in my early days of becoming a Fulham fan so I feel my loyalties are in the right place. 8)

I will have you know that I am an Italian-Irish-Austrian-American!

    Argghhhhhh!!!!

There's the trivialization again!!! How 'European!'

No offense, but I would REALLY like to see that stamped out to the point where it's legally actionable.

Just posting again for those who got lost!!

I believe we are going to make this trip the weekend of the Wigan home match which is the weekend of October 28th.

The club knows we are planning a trip over and the Fulham Supporters Club is helping us sort out hospitality and a few other things to make sure this trip is the best one yet.

The Fulham pub, The Golden Lion, has once again asked us to be their guests before the match where we'll have some free food and lots of beer in the Fulham Only pub. Anne, the landlady, was a great hostess last year and 'American Sue' was also a superb help in getting us the hospitality at the Golden Lion.

For those who can take an extra day or two off, you will also have the opportunity to go see the Carling Cup match the Wednesday before Wigan.

Last year, our trip coincided with a friendly match between two sets of Fulham supporters which was aptly named Surrey Vs. Middlesex. This year, it will happen again! Basically a group of Fulham fans south of the Thames (Surrey) play a group of fans north of the Thames (Middlesex). I played for Middlesex last year and if we have anymore aspiring footballers, and you make the trip, you will be party of the mighty Middlesex (see pics here: http://www.fulhamusa.com/index.php?modu ... all&gid=13 ).

I would to get some preliminary numbers so if you are still thinking about making the trip just let me or Tom know.

I'd love to go, but I can't plan on it now because it might be the 6th and 7th games of the World Series and (I can't believe I can actually say this) my Tigers might be there. As much as I love Fulham, the Tigers are my all-time sports team and if they're there, I'll be there (at Comerica Park).

MrsJux and I are going to talk about it this weekend to see if we can afford it. I'd say, put us in the 60% definite and I will let you know on Monday. We are looking at doing both games so that we can spend some of the off time exploring London.

Don't worry about it fellas, I just wanted to see the interest that is out there. We won't book this trip until around mid-Sept. I am working with a couple of hotels and American Airlines to get the best rates.

I'm an American here in London. Fulham 10-game package holder.

Would love to go and, since I'm here, help out if any is needed.
