Well day one over. What did everyone think. I know Tom must be upset about the Poland match. Sorry Tom, I just don't see how they can get out now. Maybe a point against Germany and another three against the Ticos.

I was impressed with Ecuador. They played a fairly attractive smart game. England match should be interesting. I think Paraguay stand a better chance than most give them credit for.

England match was 'interesting', alright. Like a test of if a semi-neutral footy fan can stay awake during an England match.

I'm just throwing out a 'what-if' here. What if Bruce Arena was the England manager instead of Sven?
Yeah.. you know, I know. Nuff said.

 

No joke, that England game was horrendous. I defiantly regret waking up to see it. These guys are supposed to be world class. I saw more creativity and energy out of Carlos Edwards and Gillingham great!! Brent Sancho than I did out of the whole England midfield. Paraguay were also down right terrible. I fail to understand how you can be so lack luster at the World Cup.
