Let's hope he is not signing. I don't rate Heskey all that much.

I saw a stat where Jemaine Pennant had 80+ successful crosses last year at B-ham, and only 4 were converted to goals. Horrendous stat, and Heskey was on the receiving end of a lot of those crosses. Can you imagine McBride's stats if he had that number of crosses coming to him.

Why would we pick up this lout. How about Pennant instead? Or is he already snatched up?

What a bust Heskey was at Birmingham...you know they paid over ?6 million for him from Liverpool!! I personally don't think we can afford to pay ?3m for him in hopes he finds his feet again.

Heskey is too much like a mediocre McBride. He is only "Succesful" in the air and, unlike McBride, is a total moron with the ball at his feet. If Macca is injured then Heidar "Iceman" Helgusson is the same sort of player there to play alongside John or a possible new signing

I would say have Johns and McBride in from the start. Bring that pesky little Icelander Helguson in as needed.

OMG, I can't believe were even considering buying that load of crap. Unbelievable. I'm of the believe that we need another forward, but for god sake not this kind of forward. Rather, a quick little speedy guy who can finish. We've already got two guys who are exceptional in the air and I'd take both of them over Heskey.

Get your head checked CC :x

Sounds like you mean a younger version of Radzinski. It would be nice if Eddie Johnson came to his senses in the WC. I think if he got his brain in the game, he'd make a nice partner for Brian over the next couple of seasons.

MLS turned down a 5 million pound offer from Benfica about a year and a half ago for him. I am sure that price has come down some with his injury problems since then, but that being said, this guy always seems to be hurt. And coming to Fulham, where everyone is always hurt, might not be the best investment.

I guess though if the price was right, I would be up for it based on his age and potential scoring prowess when healthy. Thing is this, if Eddie has a good World Cup, Fulham will not be the only team after him. Fulham should be chasing him now, before the event, to get him a bit cheaper than after a strong World Cup.

Bottom line is this though, if we do not buy some defenders, it does not matter who is up front, we will have a lot of problems. We need some center-halves and a left-back before anything right now.
