A possibility of a Dempsey Highlight DVD

Hi all. After reading this blog post I felt compelled to let the Fulham USA members aware of it. (Apologies if this has been posted already.)

There definitely seems to be enough incredible goals to fill a DVD. Would be pretty cool I think.

 

I dont see anything about the price of the dvd. If it's $20 or below I would likely buy one for my kids. However, simple math shows 2,000 units at that price is $40,000. I cant see that being enough to purchase the rights to his USA goal footage let alone premier league footage (perhaps FFC already has rights to those). If you watched the Jay Demerit story there was a disappointing amount of game footage for the $250,000 plus they raised.

As far as a presale order of 2,000 units they could do that via the club website I would think. Have people order them under the condition that your card wont be charged until 2,000 units are sold. You would have to have a strict deadline to reach that goal though or risk it not happening.

The English love irony and how ironic is it that Phil Mison is heading this up. The guy who regularly advocated for benching or selling Dempsey now wants to cash in on his value, since the club hasnt done it I guess. But since it's going to charity I wont say another word. :shhh:

 

Thanks for posting Rev23. Good idea for a good cause, but like Mo I would be curious to know the cost (including shipping). I don't tweet, but would be curious to know how many followers Clint has (didn't he just start his twitter account).
