This would be great if this happens. Unfortunately, I do not believe it. Call me a pessimist, but words in the press mean little or nothing to me. An Al Fayed spending spree means he will inject 2 million pounds into the club to get players. In this day and age, that will not get us much. My fingers are crossed that Mo finally does put some good money into the club. We need it!

Hmmm.. the Independent and the Mirror.... hmmmm.

Well, I hate to say it but, in this case, I'll wait till I see it in the Guardian or the Times... evil socialist rags as they are...

Last time Al Fayed said he was going to put real money into the club it was our promotion year and he spent over ?40 million. However ?11.5 mil was on Marlet .lol.

It seems it is leaked to the media every summer that Al Fayed is going to spend money, but over the last few summers, we have spent like a team in the Coca-Cola Championship. If we not spend like a Premiership team, we are asking for trouble down the road which could lead us to relegation.

I had my doubts about Fayed before but after meeting him and seeing his enthusiasm for the club, I have no doubt that he is in it for the long haul. This summer, I do believe there will be more $$ to spend than past years.

Their are alot of positive signs, for example:

The club has had a boardroom shake up, we have kept our best players, Al Fayeds sons are on the Board and one has really fallen in love with the club (the other is still quite passionate), and we have been drawing capacity crowds to CC and the club is planning on further developing The Cottage.
