I figured I would start a Fulham Facts thread and I'll throw in a random fact about the club for those who are interested in supporting the Cottagers. If you find one yourself, just throw it it.

    Fact:

"Fulham FC are in fact the oldest professional football club from the London area, which may suprise many as many believe the bigger clubs (Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs etc) are older."

Pope John Paul II was reportedly a Fulham fan.

For those in the DC area, WTOP Radio Sportscaster and Wizards and United play-by-play man Dave Johnson is a Fulham fan.

Fulham have gotten 100 points in a season twice. Looking through my books, I don't think anyone else has done that. (I will check.)

Mike.I was at a pub quiz last week, and one of the questions was....."Who are the oldest london football team?" We were the only team to get the right answer!!!.And,we won the quiz by one point. Also,Michael Caine used to frequent the Cottage in the 1960's.

Fulham Fact - England and the World Cup!

Something that was brought to my attention today:

"England has never won the world cup with out a Fulham player."

    Well, there goes Germany.

George Cohen's son, Ben, was on the England squad that won the Rugby World Cup in 2003. Guess you need a Cohen to win a world cup!

Fulham once had a player who later went on to score 5 goals in an England match at Wembley!

When he was with Fulham, he was a fullback!

Fulham's biggest ever win was on Boxing day 1963, 10-1 vs. Ipswich. The irony involved was FFC hadn't scored a goal in the 5-6 matches previous.
