Thoughts? Predictions? Lineups for Saturday's match? I am looking for the Whites to bounce back after last weekend's FA Cup debacle and get a win over the Magpies 2-0.

    RE: Fulham vs Newcastle

I'm not thinking starting Niemi will have any effect, on the defense, yet.

CC will field our best available... which may mean that Elliot appears again as Papa is still out.. here's hoping he does better this time.

Sorry, I dont see 2-0... maybe 2-1; yet the tide is bound to start turning at some point in this new year.
Things have a way of evening out and Fulham lost too many close ones for that NOT to happen.
McBride HH up top please.. and CJ plays inspired with his NY Resolution to not act like a putz while off the ball.

Sorry... a recent Offal post by some LaLaLand denizen claiming Jeff Cunningham would have been a better buy than Elliot has still got me shivering in 'what-if' thoughts..

I dont think the new goalie will make much difference, I hope he does not have to make one save, and gets a clean sheet, Volz and Boca coming back and Mcbride and maybe HH up front obvioulsy will, if Steed was playing then I could forsee a big improvement from last weekends debacle, Newcastle have in recent years been a good fixture for us, even when they have been playing well we seem to have got a result. The Cottage as become a bit of a fortress for us in the past few months and we have beaten some very good teams, we are still I think the last team in the premier to beat Liverpool, and as will be the case with almost every game from now on, especially at home this one is important, a win tomorrow and we move above Newcastle, other teams like charlton and west ham will start looking over their shoulders, which can only be good for fulham to get more teams in the dog fight early in the New year, because being a fulham fan we know these dog fights only to well, and they become down and out scrappy affairs as we move towards the end of the season and points now in 6 pointers are like gold dust.

Niemi in goal + Owen out injured...i'm hoping for a clean sheet and Fulham win 2-0.

Scott Parker is also injured and Faye is gone for African Nations Cup. That leaves Shearer who will still be a threat but hopefully Volz and Boca coming back will keep him locked down. CC stated that Steed might play, but probably wouldn't play the entire 90 minutes as he's not 100%. With all those players back I really think Fulham will play better. And I'm really excited about Niemi. :D

CC fooled, as was Andrulis, by Elliot's practice corners...
he sucks at RH corners, only partially effective on the left.

I'm thinking that G Jim MUST be having eye problems or the Ref's REALLY hate FFC

Great win for Fulham and it is nice to see them put the FA Cup disaster behind them with a win in front of the home faithful. Charlton won, but this win will put Fulham ahead of Aston Villa and even with Newcastle. Big game at West Ham next Monday.

Glad to see the traveling group saw a big win. On the subject of Gentleman Jim, he's gotten to the point that he complains about anything. I pretty much discount any thing he says unless I hear somebody else after the game confirm it. I'd much rather hear a neutral broadcast.

I rated Liam Rosenior today. Yes, he earned them a completely unnecessary corner heading it over his own goal area in H1 but those things happen at 21. In my opinion, He was collected in posession and clever in tight areas, and his courage and pace since Boxing day bode well for our survival battle. MOTD just starting now-- hoping they noticed as well.

Saw Sir Bobby Robson in the Riverside stand but not the Fulham USA supporters afterwards, though they were mentioned several times by the PA announcer at the ground! Better luck next year on that account and well played today Super Fulham.

(Souness booed by the away support boarding the team coach home: priceless)

Nice win and a big three points. Now the boys need to get a few points away from Craven Cottage

    A.M.'s Match Report #1

I have only just recovered from matchday today and now feel well enough to give you the report of our day in SW6.

First off, I was involved in the first annual Surrey vs. Middlesex match where by the Fulham fans of Surrey played the Fulham fans of Middlesex. Long story short, Middlesex won 14-2 (the match was 2-2 at one point) and I bagged myself a first half hatrick and probably a weeks worth of pain and suffering!

After that, we were off to the Golden Lion pub where Ann (the land lady) and the Fulham Supporters Club treated all of us fans like family. The Beer flowed like water and we were well 'trolleyed' before making the short walk to Craven Cottage.

We then took our seats in the hammy end and watched our boys play a part scrappy, part eloquent match vs. the Geordies. We sang and chanted such classics as "Souness Out!", "Alan Shearer is a Wanker", "Super Fulham" etc, etc. The papers here even mentioned the Fulham fans chanting "Souness Out". Once Steeeeed came in we really looked the stronger and finally got the goal. I don't think I have even seen such an explosion of happiness in the Hammy End before. After the match we then were invited in to the SW6 bar with the Fulham Supporters Club with whom brought the 50 Dutch Fulham fans that also made the trip over. The bar was full to the brim and it was a fantastic atmosphere. SPECIAL THANKS TO NEIL AND THE REST OF THE FULHAM SUPPORTERS CLUB FOR TREATING US SO VERY NICELY.

Finally, back to the Golden Lion where the party was still going and many of the locals were still singing!

That was the day although I'm sure some of the other American fellas will tell you more. Critical Bill, namely, is really loving his time here as are the boys from California. All very nice people I should add.

I'm here for 3 more weeks and will be attending West Ham Away, Spurs at the Cottage and then Man. U away. I'll post all the details as they come.

    COME ON YOU WHITES

    Mike

    RE: A.M.

We want pictures... and I have no doubt they'll be totally decadent and dissipative!

Or at least one of you nutmegging a bloke... or face down in the turf after a foul... or somep'n.
