Miami actually has a chance, on the given Sunday, this season... I pick Miami against the Falcons, in fact. I'm sorry, folks.. Vick is brilliant, but he 'aint all that'!

Gotta feel sorry for both the Saints and the Texans. The Saints might pull off a win, just to be ornery... but the Texans are a REAL long shot at Jags' house.

The Bengals are a mystery... which team will show up. Look how they folded against Stillers when they humped the first couple drives..matter of fact, which RAVENS will show up?!!!

    Colm,
Were you picking against the spread or straight up?

Maybe Vick doesn't quite live up to the hype, but he is improving. He had one of his best days as a passer yesterday going 22-for-31 for 200+ yards, 1 TD, and no picks. He finally discovered that he doesn't have to throw to Alge Crumpler every time. The Falcons won, by the way :D

Heh... yeah, I fluffed on the Vick statement.

But I was happy to see that, when BOTH the Ravens and Bengals' A-Teams showed up (Though it didnt look like the Ravens fans believed that), the Bengals won anyway.

To be fair the Ravens had some weird calls go against them, but Carson Palmer and company were up to it.

And what's up with the Buccaneers! They're acting like the first born child when Daddy Glazer brings home the new baby.
    - Someone should'a told 'em how to motivate themselves with the ManUre win over Chelscum!

Straight up...that is not bad. When you start betting with and against the line things get a little dicey.

I just went on msn foxsports.com and pick the teams out that i thought had the best chance of winning, no real strategy.

    Petty,

I hate to say it, but there's no way that team that played yesterday was the Ravens A-team. No Lewis, no Reed, no Boller. Kordell stewart played about five minutes and actually did something. that's how bad they were.

The ref blew the call with the fumble by blowing that whistle, and it turned out to be a 14 point swing. Other than that, the ravens don't need any excuses, they just suck.

If Boller is on anyone's A-Team it is not good news. I will give you the Reed and Lewis guys being out, but if I were you, I would not count on Boller to produce anytime soon. I am guessing in a matter of two seasons he will be fishing on a permanent basis with Joey Harrington in Pac-10 country.

I agree Tom. I never thought that I'd say that I miss him, because most of my falls the last two years have been spent complaining about him. Now I see how bad Anthony Wright is, and Kordell behind him is even more frightening. Maybe Wright can lead this team into the chase for Leinert and this draft they can get a real quarterback.

Now you know what it is like being a Bears fan. We never have a quarterback. In fact Orton has now started 8 straight games. The Bears have not had a starter go this many games in a row since Jim Miller in 2001 and before that it was Erik Kramer in 1995.

Vinny would have been a God in Chicago. Consider these qb's we have had:

    Jim Miller
Henry Burris (exactly, you have never heard of him)
    Moses Moreno
    Shane Matthews
    Cade McNown
    Chad Hutchinson
    Craig Krenzel

I am sure I am forgetting a few, but this is a just a snapshot of the QB situation in Chicago over the last decade or so.

Sorry... but I dont believe Lewis has to actually BE on the field to motivate. Both he and reed might have helped stop Rudi, buit that would have just changed the Cincy offensive scheme.

No it wasnt... Ravens DID get the ball... it was a 7 point swing.

BAD call though. The commentators had me scratching my head on it, that's for sure... I got the feeling THEY forgot the rules.

It went from a touchdown for the Ravens to a 3 and out punt, then a touchdown drive. If the ref had gotten the call right it would have changed the game dramatically.
