Hmmmm... this will be interesting when it goes to trial. Libby either lives in an alternate universe or his mind is gone to the point where he should resign anyway....OR....

Ah, but that's a conspiracy theory.

 

I've been trying to connect this somehow with a motive for something bigger.

What are the potential conspiracy theories for this? I mean he did it, and Karl Rove supposedly did so too... I'm curious, is the conpiracy that they did this on purpose if so why?

I'm so lost...

I have a theory...

Rove and Libby... even Cheney.. are mere mortals. Kinda like Bill and Hillary.

How else to explain that Libby's own notes are the core of the indictments? Putting myself in their shoes... they MIGHT have thought, at the time, that the relationship; Plame and Wilson and the trip... were simply interesting footnotes to the problem. And when you do that, you really dont pay much attention to what you're saying as to timelines and who said what... sorta like playing "Telephone"

Considering the core problem: Saddam and WMD, is it beyond the realm of possibility that given French, British and even Russian intelligence supporting their existence that Cheney WOULD go to the mid-level managers to make sure of the facts?

This would not seem inconsistent given the publicized coverup by mid-managers on the field agents' warnigns of "arabs in flight schools" right after 9/11.

Wilson's own writings, you will note, point TO interest by Iraq in meeting with Niger's Interior Minister.. which the minister refused because he "knew what they wanted to talk about'.
