I know there are plenty of big games out there this week.

Example: Can Houston win its first game.. against the only unbeaten remaining? Well, all due respect... Houston's season is over.. and there's only 'entertainment left for their fans. If Indy loses, though, they STILL might just walk the rest of the way to the playoffs, if not the Superbowl.

But for me there's only one.

Steelers at Cincy is seminal.. because this will be the first time in over 10 years that Pittsburgh will come into Paul Brown Stadium fully aware they might lose without being 'ambushed'.

Sure, even the old Bungles got lucky now and then... but the scenario USUALLY was one of the opponent beating themselves. This time, there's no charades, nothing to hide behind. The Bengals are good, the Steelers know it and they are going to bring their A game.

Some give the Bengals the edge by a scant point... the Bengals though are going to try like hell to , first, WIN... and then, to pile on the points.

The Bears won 10-6. I was pleased. Pretty dull game, but that is the NFL these days. Thanks to the 2000-2001 Ravens, the NFL has quickly become a defensive league. Next week it is a battle for the top of the NFC North when the Bears travel to Detroit Rock City to take on the Lions.
